Before i start getting into the real deal. Has anyone here heard of this eye specialist names ISEC? its located near the north court of midvalley on the 8th floor. Apparently they are some eye specialist and most of the doctors there has this so called multiple certification to proof their background experience. no doubt they are good at what they are doing. and no doubt, they are one big f***ing group collaborating with one another to suck your money dry. its f***ing crazy the moment you step in there.

im not sure any of you all experience this b4 but i cant believe the amount of money ive spent just to seek consultation and not even including the cure. im suffering from this thing called keractoconus which mean, my left eyes lens is completely misaligned or totally out of sight hence would required a hard lens to rebalance it with the right.

it all started with my first visit which i was reconmended by an optician. first of all, the wait it super long eventhough there are like less than 5 patience(makes me wonder y) and secondly the staff there are super rude. just because you cant hear them calling you name, they will get super piss just to call your name for the second time. started consulatation with my first doctor name, dr micheal which is the main ring leader of the entire specialist. did some talking and some stupid check which is less than 2 mins and was transfered to another b****in dr, which apparently did almost the same f***ing thing. all and all, my entire visit for the first day was only 2 doctors, and the price came out to rm600+. wtf?

so i was required to go again for a second checkup and this time another f***ing rm400+ just for wat they called at that time was follow up. men, this is total bullshit. so after 2 months of not goin there, i finally had to make a visit to claim my insurance and quess wat, out of no reason again i had to go do some test b4 the dr can start filling up the form. and that form they actually charged me rm70. does it really cost that much just to fill up a form which consist less then 5 pages? and also after 2 months, they got the cheek to tell me there were some payment that ive not paid! its like wtf again, after 2 months and just because i made an appointment myself to go see them, they took the oppurtunity to create some charges. this is so not fair, and they even had to get their stupid accountant to get involved which she doesnt even know where these charges are coming from. all she could say is, its the doctor that included in your bill.

anyway, i've just order my hard lens, only on one side, and it cost me rm600 not including another stupid consultation and adminstrative fees which sum up to bout rm780. men this is total bullshit. I JUST WANT TO ADVISE PEOPLE OUT THERE, BECAREFUL OF THIS PLACE, ITS NOTHING BUT A MONEY MAKING SUCKING SPECIALIST. IM PLANNING TO MAKE A REPORT TO THE HEALTH MINISTER REGARDING THIS CENTER. INSTEAD OF CURING YOU, IT KILLING YOU!

were the charges subdivided?

as in - consultation fees n meds n stuff?

maybe then u'll get a clearer picture of what they charged u for. i think u should ask for a detailed reciept. it is your right after all as a paying customer.

yea they are all subindividual charged. each doctor that you are being consult, they will have their individual charges. but its not like you have a choice cuz one doctor will say you need to go see this other doc and the other doc will direct you to another doc. it doesn matter how short the consultation is, as long as you are arranged to meet that doc, there goes one charged. every equipment that is applied on to you, it will have their own charges. this is pretty reasonable but even the charges for their equipment is high rise. and each time b4 you settle the bill, they will include some prescription which you dun need because you still have your existing one. so if you forgot to tell you dun need, they automatically include in. i still cant accept the fact bout retrieving your file and filling up files that will cost you a bomb. rm70 for each document they lay their hands on. can somebody tell me, is this ridiculous or am i just being over sensitive?

well so far ive yet to receive my hard lens, but i did went through a fit trial. meaning they have sample lens to determine which is the most appropriate. ofcourse there are improvement but i wouldnt say a 100% prefect vision. infact when i close my other right eyes, im still not getting a vision but more of clearer shadows. so ive tested with me wearing the lens and spectacle at the same time, then there's where the real result is. but its not quite what i expected cuz when you are on contact lens, by right the glasses are good as dead. any opinions on this? crap!!!!!

first visit i was intro with dr. chong coz dr. michael wasnt there that time,
then he sent me to do 2 or 3 test, yes, including the chin machine and the orbscan. then after that i was sent to a lady doctor to get the eye power .
then after all the tests has been done, i wentbac to dr. chong and he explain to me about the condition. he gave me on allergic eye drops to ease the irritation a bit.

2nd times was with dr. michael. he did a pressure test on my right eye, and gave me two kind of eye drops. one is for allergic, one is for dryness.
each around rm30 - rm50 . if i m not mistaken.

but their procedure a bit blur too. coz too many doc and the communication sometimes break down. first visit they meant to send me to the lady doc first, but the consultant somehow misunderstood and took me to the orbscan first. end up get scolded by the lady doctor.

nope. i m still wearing spec. i dun take hard lens cause scared i might feel irritated. my eyes r quite sensitive.

they told me there r two types of lens. one is from sg, rm300 each side, one is from uk, rm600 each side

well you would have saved alot of money if you just drove down to Tun Hussein Onn Hospital in PJ. They will be able to cater to your needs. It is not as low tech as you think. They are pretty up to standard.

ISEC is for sure over priced and over rated. See la where it is located first. I work in MV and i can see the people that goes in and out from there.

Tun hussein onn is expensive also la, i waited damn long went there morning 920am, finisihed 125pm. They like to send you here and there, checked by many different people, worst is the doctor, only talked to me like 2-3 minutes after an hour plus wait. Total charge was RM330 including 1 eyedrop. Their contact lens price so expensive, acuvue oasys selling RM 110, no buy 3 free 1 somemore. Glasses there also very old fashion. I saw 2 people complaining about their service and long Q at the front counter while i was there. I wont go Isec also since it is so expensive. Hard to find good service with good price.

i heard ISEC was good. and i did my minor surgery there. about digging out the cyst in my inner eyelid by a indian female doctor.
Last time i went there the front desk was okay, but the elder lady besides seems depressing, and I assume that is normal. haha.
i think there were always crowded even weekdays.

Wrong eye prescription by ISEC optometrist . Even ordinary optometrist out there give me better and accurate results. They also wrongly diagnosed my lenses. I will not come to ISEC again. Worst quality of services despite the name and price they offered.

Dr Choong Yee Fong - have seen him several times after complication developed post cataract surgery ( mascular edema ) which he say not related to his surgery . My impression of him is he is not a patient person to explain my questions , he has just too many customers and objective is to quickly rush off to the next customer .Your trust level must be high in order to continue to consult him.
