Hi,
since u would like to mainly lose weight, the main thing that u got to focus on is ur diet. Not only that when u taking out ur fast food means less fat u will consume, u got to know who is the culprit behind all of the fat. So do put a lil concern on the Carbohydrate intake, try to consume it less than 250 or 200 grams a day ( u can google for the nutrition fact of the food u r taking). Secondly, split ur meal into 5 or 6 smaller meal. Third, consume carbs on the right time (morning, pre workout, post workout). Forth do consume some protein, coz u dont wan to lose muscle instead of fat (1g per pound of ur bodyweight - bodyfat ).
This one i m not 100% sure, but when u do cardio, dont sprint too much, coz during intensive training, ur body will not be fast enuf to synthesize the available protein and therefore synthesizing ur muscle for protein. So do take note of that. (IMO 15mins of cardio will be sufficient)

Tats all that i can help. Hope u do well. Good luck.
Thank you for the pointers! I will check nutrition fact and keep my carbs to the 200-250grms you suggested

Will confirm the cardio bit O_O dun wanna be flabby! ugh...

It is good that you know that you needed a change. I was 90++ before and I managed to shed if off till 58kg (underweight). Now, I am around 65kg.
Losing 0.5~1kg/week is doable but not easy. Do always remember that you want to lose your fats and not just water/muscles.
It is a good start (at least you start), based on the intensity that you mentioned, i can probably assumed that
you have no been exercising regularly. Start of slow is one thing, but do not pamper yourself!!! You will need to push extra hard to make-real your dream. You will definitely need to increase your workout, make sure you sweat like a cow in every workout. Else ~ you are just wasting your time. Push and keep pushing and don't be lazy..determination is the key~
Besides, diet is superbly important. It is pointless exercising without a proper diet. I have barely touched fast-food/soft-drinks for months since I started working out 3 months ago(i am not overweight when i started). I have so far taken 1 glass of coke in a company event and eaten once macD 1 month ago. Prepare your own meals, but don't starve yourself, it will be hard to reduce/control your appetite, but u have to do it. Calculate your calories intake a day. Break your meals into smaller meals, example of my diet:
Bfast: Oats, fruits or Bread + PB, fruits
Snack: Fruits, eggs
Lunch: Rice(very little), vege, chicken (always eat CLEAN, preferably without oil etc, I always cook myself, boil vege and chicken with water ONLY)
Snack: Fruits, eggs
Dinner/Preworkout: Same as lunch but perhaps replaced with oats
Post workout: protein
Supper: fruits, protein/eggs
The reason i take so much protein is because i am in body-building. You can perhaps reduce the protein but always remember to eat CLEAN. It is very painful to go through that kinda diet but i managed to pull through for 3 months.
My pre workout is loaded with carbs because i need it for my workout. You can probably remove the oats and do not take carbs after 5pm or so. Replace your high gi food with low gi food.
Nothing is impossible, stop pampering yourself and chase your dream~
Wow! Thanks for the input!

Will definitely keep your advise in mind! And you are right I have NEVER done exercise (unless you count walking around the malls lar...) and trust me, I was sweating even from the little bit of exercise I did on the treadmill and bike-someone told me once that if you don't break into a sweat while exercising then it isn't intense enough. Hopefully my stamina will improve soon and I can up the intensity later.
