Yes it's originally manufactured for OEM, but that doesn't mean Seagate doesn't have the rights to sell it as retail products.

It's in their own discretion either to sell it to end users or not.

I've bought multiple Seagate harddisk that is marked as OEM, but warranty is still valid same as retail which is 5 years.
