Can. It is advisable to get a local simcard especially if you are renting a car so that you can call the driver once you are done with a particular destination

Try Amaris hotel? This is the one I'm staying in. Still very new and modern. RM100 with tax for queen/double bed a night. But book with the hotel instead of agoda. Staffs super friendly and helpful, speak fluent English too.

For driver, this one is recommended by many on tripadvisor. He acts as your tour guide too. I used him for two days. Great service! Highly rec!

just came back from bandung. nothing much to see about 4d3n for relax trip enough to cover bandung. the ppl in bandung is really nice, they tend to help if they could. i can say its quite safe there at night cos i did walk back to my hotel from paris van java to cihampelas  eventhough the distance is quite far but those dark streets without lights are kinda scary if compare to kl here. the problem with ppl in indonesia is the rich are too rich and the poor are to poor.
*
planning to go to PVJ on our date of arrival. we'll be staying @ Chihampeles area too, if we take cab the fare should be how much ya? i have found a supir for 2 days @ rp800k.

ya that area is always jammed pack with traffic, sometimes it is better to walk. I think IDR800K for 2days is reasonable at least can go anywhere without worries and just fully utilise the 2 days
*
Will be staying@ Aston Tropicana, hv no idea it's a jammed prone area when i made the booking, since it's our inaugral trip hehe...so to be safe better take supir. If it's up to me i will utilised two days for shopping but another friends wanted sightseeing so hv to sacrificed many places. will go to PB and selected FOs only.

If it's just around the corner may be we can walk to PJV, otherwise take cab.

thanks for all the tips guys!

I have not given any tips whilst there, they have already made profit from u already. The worse is when I bought ice blended from coffee bean, the price is abt the same as m'sia and they ask do u want whipped cream, i said yes, extra charge on the bill, i was like rclxub.gif

thank rayng18. I am kinda soft hearted, hopefully the girls r willing to compromised.

Added on June 16, 2012, 9:59 pmGo the information I needed and would like to share it here. It's called MENTARI, and don't buy at the airport coz it could cost you five times more. Cheaper to call home.
