I'm going to Jakarta & Bandung end of this month for 04 days 03 nites. Expenses as below:

Return flight by MAS: RM456
02 nites stay in Progo Hotel Bandung: RM260
01 nites stay in Akmani Hotel Jakarta: RM320
04 days 03 nites car with driver: RM660 (including tour to Bogor, Puncak, Trans Studio, shopping at Tanah Abang & Pasar Baru)

I purposely stay in 4* hotel in JKT because I want to be near to Sehat Spa which is opposite to the hotel. If note can get Amaris Thamrin City Hotel for RM130 per nite.

Hi guys, wanna ask your opinion for a travelling group of 6 pax (all 55+ but still healthy), 5d4n trip, apart from going to volcano/craters such as tangkuban perahu, shopping any other things they can do there?

From what I read here, I assume supir is a driver which you can hire for a day. Normally what type of vehicle they use? And normally, how to hire one? Do we have to pre-hire one before the trip?

Better to pre hire before the trip so that u can get value for money and good driver. Most important honest driver. They normally use Avanza, Innova and the sort of van depending on number of pax.

Why u don't try massage?? Not the hanky panky massage. This is real massage. I never miss going to their spa evertime I visit Indonesia. Very cheap lor!! You can contact Pak Yanto for vehicle. I have been using him for many2 years. He can speak English a little bit because he also bring Dutch tourists around. You may sms/call him at +628156110229. Just tel him June from KL recommend you to him. He is a very honest man. That is what I like about him. I will always tip him handsomely at the end of our tour for his good and excellent service.

you can go around town by using public transport- angkot, very convenient and cheap... RP2000 - RP3000 per person only.

If you want to go to Kawah Putih & Tangkuban Perahu (Volcanos) better you hire driver/supir. RP400K per day,but have to add RP50000 for Kawah Putih and Tangkuban Perahu.

Thanks, Listiani smile.gif

What is the average expenses for meals there per person? Assuming lunch eat normal food, then dinner eat better.

Any recommendations on places/restaurants to eat? I've read a few pages here but most of it either point to kg daun(overpriced and so-so food) and mostly forgotten the name.
What's the must try cuisine there?

Been to Jakarta countless times but never to Bandung. Just wanna ask, do most shops (especially dining) accept credit cards?

I am not a foodie so I don't really bother where to eat but if you are with Pak Yanto, he can recommend you a good place to eat but not the overprice or overated restaurant. Most of the restaurant he brought us is very simple and ordinary but the food is superb. I don't remember the name of rumah makan he brought because there simply too many rumah makan too remember biggrin.gif

Try Sunda food or Betawi food.
