They are using 2 pin socket which is also very common in Malaysia. So if most of your chargers & etc are 2 pin plug, it's OK. If 3 pin, than you hv to buy 3pin to 2 pin adaptor liao
QUOTE(kelantan @ Apr 28 2011, 04:19 PM) "btw is the electric socket in bandung same as in Malaysia? " NO....just get an international socket at any electric shop in Malaysia for RM 16.00 (On Air Asia...= RM 45.00),, "what is the weather there?is it cold now?" It is hot,hot in Bandung with rain in the evenings... is hotel mutiara, hotel sunset, hotel gundur good?" Was in Hotel Gundur....good & clean..with bakery infront and near Bandung train Station.. Yeah diff FO selling diff brands and some famous brand repeated lor..Infact beside Rumah Mide, there is one selling mixed brands + Indonesian own brands. The indonesian version indeed cheaper but not as cheap as I expected.
Original- No idea, looks more like replica AAA to me haha. But I saw some of the brands also available here in our own FOS.. well..slightly cheaper in Bandung lor but not much..So instead of Bandung, You can get some of the rejected goods from our FOS or Reject shops too ..well lack of brand lah haha QUOTE(zaff1984 @ Jun 28 2011, 11:12 AM) |

For conversion...just take RP X 0.00035 can dy....Easy 100K=RM35, 200K=RM70 |

I don't think polo tee will be till rp250k lah, normally those ~RM100 and above are office wears of luxury brands / women dresses

Merging this to Bandung thread soon.
To answer you.. If the electronics made in Indonesia & Indonesian brand -yes it's cheap but so far I can't find any Indonesian electronics there. Those branded electronic - M'sia is one of the cheapest in the world liao except US, SG, HK & few more countries..so no point looking for electronics there |

probably refering to my old post:
QUOTE(stimix @ Oct 22 2010, 08:03 AM) I hv just completed my 2D 1N Bandung trip from Jakarta Airport. Now back to Jakarta. From Jakarta airport to Bandung you can either take Primajasa (Further right from Ciptaganti Kiosk) or Ciptaganti express (Beside A&W). The fare is at 75K rupiah The trip suppose to take 3 hrs but due to the jam at Jakarta and even worst after Bandung Toll gate at Purbaleungyi, the trip can be as long as 4hrs!! sigh. Train ticket is cheaper at 55K rupiah/pax but you need to goto Gambir station. Lotsa delay due to the current raining season. I even hv to cancel my return train ticket to Jakarta Y'day bcos of landslide!! - Took the station taxi to Jakarta instead for 70K/pax..no choice.. Within 2D1N, we visited atleast 3 factory outlet i.e Rumah Mode, Fashion City (Beside Rumah Mode) and Summit at Jln Riau. Using Bandung bus system is cheap alternative at only 3,000 rupiah .pax...just ask around or flag any angkutan kota van on how to go & where to switch van.. On 2nd day, I rented one of the train station taxi for daily trip ~ Bandung for 350K rupiah Visited Tangkuban Prahu Volcano (A must!! - Will post the volcano pics soon..), We also round the Lembang area & passing by lotsa nurseries..just like in Cameron but ppl in this highland is more populated Temp on top of the volcano rim at 1830M is rather dissapointing actually...I dun reallly feel cold compare to Cameron Highland.. Those factories outlets....haizzz...I dun buy anything!! It's expensive to me!! Nothing cheaper than 100K rupiah even their Polo T-shirt!! I was expecting Rp30K Tee but all >Rp100K!! Added..Tangkuban Prahu Volcano. Taken at the rim of the volcano: ![]() |

Anything imported in to Indonesia and if their iport tax regime is higher than M'sia for sure bad. I'm not sure of Samsonite and if it's locally produce in Inonesia - Yes it's cheap but if imported, might as well get it in KL. It's not cheap there.

Me too not into the shopping part. It's not cheap as what originally thought. Even shopping in Jogja Malioboro street lagi shiok. I can't understand the rational of cheapest lousy designed Rp90K tee-shirt when I can get in Jogja wth much better design for Rp20K-Rp30K.
Driver, google for "Mobil sewa bandung" & contact them from there. Normally internet rate ~ 300K but if you walk in you will be lucky if you can get Rp350K/day bcos on avg asking price ~ rp400-rp450K. I walked in and hv to negotiate kaw-kaw. I got a supir from the Railway station. Only 1 counter there. just ask around. |

If you can, better book online or skype them. Bcos the walk-in rate is much more expensive! starting from 450K-500K rp and up to you to negotiate.. I think online ~ 300K rp only
Just google for "Mobil sewa bandung" |
