hi guys, i noticed the discussion on the Biostar TA790GX A2+ in the previous thread but couldnt seem to find the price of it.

also noticed that dblooi is the only one with the board as of now and the OC results on the x2 3800+ F3 are quite remarkable.

its listed on newegg as USD100 so im guessing that it should be around RM3xx? anyone whether or not it is available yet, where, and how much? thanks.

added: another thing i wanted to ask was on the warranty of Biostar mobos, if i remember correctly, we had 2 or 3 members here warrantying their Biostar boards with Alphamatic, may i know how the process was? Was the RMA waiting duration long?

hi awh85,

The one I'm having is TA790GX 128M, I was told by Biostar staffs it's quite new. It's launched a week ago.
Regarding to the warranty matter, some lyp sellers said Alphamatic has no longer dealing with Biostar.
There's another distro handling it now. Also, Alphamatic will no directly deal with end user anymore.
In case you want to rma your mobo, I'm afraid you have no other choice but deal with your seller.  sad.gif

edited: Currently testing on 3800+ + TA790GX, Surprisingly it pushes the 3800+ to 3.3GHz@ stock vcore. Previously my 3800+ only capable to do 3.25GHz@ stock core on TA690G as well as TA770 A2+

the biostar ta790gx 128m is just rm3xx and is available edi. the ta790gx a2+ (64mb sp) would cost cheaper when it arrives. its still within his budget and since he is oc-ing a phenom i think it would be nice, best igp on that board as well.
