i wanted to, but this mobo so teruk 1 like i describe on my previous post..sometimes change jumper drain power oso it doesn't want to reset the bios. had to change jumper, open cmos batt, unplug power for 5 mins then only can i'll try later when i got the chance

now 2.56Ghz (2.57Ghz in BIOS) with 1.300v..vdimm @1.900v..priming..

my NB got heatpipes only, so i don't think it's a wise idea to cook the NB

anyway, i'm just trying my luck here

use lower divider?533 -->400?

anyway, i managed to get my system to boot @2.58Ghz it requires vCore 1.400v, vDimm 2.000v, vNB v1.300v (stock is 1.200v)

system now running idle @50C temp

let say if i set divider 400, must i change the timing as well?

system crashed when stressing using OCCT

now back to 2.55Ghz, vcore 1.350v, vdimm 1.80v, vNB stock@1.20v..

i'm gonna test my friend's rig secretly again

he's using 8450 with Asus M3A78 Pro motherboard

1st day after he bought the rig, i secretly use Asus AI OC (auto OC).. with auto settings i can go to 2.5ghz from 2.1Ghz

if manual maybe can reach straight to 2.8Ghz no prob

i'm the one recommending him that board because he wanted a phenom board that supports up to 140W TDP. that time dunno it can do wonders in OC

lol.if the motherboard got sound nevermind. later on, my RAMs, hard disk, lcd monitor etc all oso got sound.

then after that got nice, sweet smell of PCB burning.

anyway, as an update, my fren told me his PC couldn't be boot into windows vista (the M3A78 Pro one.).. i tried everything like resetting the CMOS, bios default mode all oso cannot. when accessing the harddisk it'll say "insert proper boot device and press any key to continue". used windows xp cd to see if the hard disk fail or not, but the partition is still there. is this the normal symptom of corrupted windows vista or what?

i tried system restore, it didnt find the windows installation inside the pc.

tried "bootrec /fixboot" or "bootrec /fixmbr" oso cannot..windows installation not found..but the C:\Windows is there

now reformat back to xp..

nope i can't find it. i did everything possible already in the power management but still it won't boot.

nvm, it's on XP now. haiz.
