Do not! I saw them going last time for around 300+. Its definitely going to be a horrible axe. If you're on a budget, try and save up a little more and look at SX guitars. Much better choice.

I have a RM150 Santa Cruz dreadnought acoustic. Its actually quite good for the price, it sounds better than a few a my friend's more expensive acoustics. Their electrics on the other hand are just repulsive if i may say so.

Not taling about getting a better guitar or the acoustic one. I already have my main axe, Ibanez Iceman. Just thought of getting a spare les paul copy for fun since I saw the white coloured one and it looks beautiful.

i remember i picked up a santa cruz one time at rhapsody.
the body was pretty light and definitely much thinner than what a LP should be like. if trash guitar, better just a SX strat for the same price. |

Dear Sarcast,
This is to inform you that Santa Cruz guitars are one of the best acoustic guitars in the world ranked only next to Martin. It is usually made out of Indian Rosewood, Mahogany, and top guitarists like Eric Clapton, Tony Rich have used these guitars. They're especially adapted for finger-picking and bluegrass. The last post I read in UK was somebody who bought a specially made one for over RM20,000. The ones sold here are duplicate, as you only need to look at the logo. It is my dream to own such a guitar although I have an O.C. Smith SD10, which is more than 25 years old and is now considered a rare vintage. Does that answer all your questions? |

Actually, the real Santa Cruz guitars are one of the best but somehow I always see these cheap Santa Cruz fakes around in a local music shop.Shouldn't Santa Cruz company sue these manufacturers?

The real Santa Cruz is a custom guitar shop... and their guitars are sold in limited quantities, so I don't think they are even bothered to sue a Korean/Indon/China rip-off that uses the same name as theirs...

Then whats up with those electric guitars? I went to the official Santa Cruz site and they are an acoustic manufacturer, not electrics.
No one own those electrics? |

Sorry Areola,
Whoever bought the electric/ wooden guitars were conned!!!! Santa Cruz Guitar Company makes only wooden accoustic guitars. I saw one advertised yesterday in South East Asia- a vintage Santa cruz for RM116.000+++. so why do this specialised company need to bother when duds are produced and sold for RM300. I guess its true " A sucker is born every minute" -- always research like how you did. Well done !!!!!! |

Hi Areola,
Sorry if I sounded harsh and critical about the cheap versions. Please go to Utube and punch in- funk licks with my new scgc D12 and listen to the sound of ther guitar. Wish I could have a guitar like that and play like him |
