Hihi.. Female VT.. I know one place.. That is at KL Sentral.. U know the mini bazaar area, the road between Monorail and Kl Sentral? There;s one stall selling pets.. That's the one smile.gif

Why do u want female VTs? They're not as interesting as males, in terms of colours:)

personally.. i recomend u to get a good pair... bcoz breed VT or HM work are all the same... so, to get a satisfied outcome.. get a better grade...

erm.. if u still wan to try to breed... i hav some cull halfmoon female(but sure better than VT), juz nid to scope them if u wan it... only self-collection at my place.... pm me for more detail...

may b after u cross male VT to female halfmoon... probably.. u will get some delta tail...

Added on October 6, 2008, 8:31 pm

so, hav u breed them?
i dun think u will do... coz i dun know wat is the purpose of breeding them, since u can get it at RM1 at LFS or pasar..

Added on October 6, 2008, 8:32 pmeven at competition..  i dun ever c got categories for VT so far...

Lol yeah I have tried to breed them, but only reached 3 weeks of age then the fry died due to lack of food. At that time I haven't got proper baby food (ie: MW) yet.

Well breeding fish is a hobby I guess, when one becomes engrossed in these magnificent beauties smile.gif I bred VTs as practice, didn't want to risk losing the more expensive bettas (eh: HM, PK etc).. Until I get to grow a successful spawn of VTs, only then will I attempt the show standards. icon_rolleyes.gif

u can.. but u need to condition the water beforehand with anti-chlorine or even better, use aged water.. rain water will do fine too
*
I use filtered water, and drop abit of anti-fungal solution smile.gif I don;t use anti-chlorine smile.gif But of course, safer to use la tongue.gif

I want to ge bettas huntinnggg!

Any shop to reccomend please?

If I bring betta fish across country (Malay-Thai-Sg-Indo) have to do the paperworks for migration department?
If I bring a lot for commercial purpose sure got extra costs right?
But if I bring one or two only for pet reason, how's that?
*
Why take the trouble.. Do u only want to have pets? Either VTs or show breeds, just buy online smile.gif OR, buy locally yourself.. Source from breeders at local Betta forums... smile.gif Or visit LFS.. Sometimes (OK, rarely) there might a be nice Bettas..

Just wondering. Is it really that fun to have a betta? It is slow moving and nothing much to adore besides the beautiful colour. I went to a fish top near MRR2 (Ampang) and actually have a look at the betta there. It is like looking at a tortoise. LoL. No offence okay. Just want to have a few discussion here.

Never had a betta before and dont think I would have one unless someone here manage to tell me what it is so special about them.

They are slow moving because they were kept in small cramped tanks. Would you be active if someone locked u in a small cell? lol. U have to keep the betta in a bigger tank to see its real personality brows.gif Granted they are better off alone, but they too need a bigger space than a small plastic cup or tank to live in. PLace bettas in two containers nex to each other and see what happens. The quiet, docile betta becomes a peacock! brows.gif
