Its best if you remove the male betta when the eggs hatch as the male will tend to eat the fries.

I have more than 30 PK+HMPK juvies in my backyard which spawned few months ago.Didnt have much time to take care these few coming months.

You wont get any cheap bettas during betta sunday,If im not mistaken the next betta sunday will be held in Puchong.
If you want cheap,you can go to Jalan pasar or any other aquarium shops which sells cheap low quality bettas.

Normally tubifex which are wildly caught may harbor disease and this might explain your bettas death.

Barbs are fast swimming fish as opposed to bettas. Unless your tank is large, mixing them is not advisable.

Do a 10% water change. Add some salt into the water but not too much.
How do you know if its having tail rot?
