woo.. today i go to my house backyard to check whether those curl bettas still alive or not.. coz i scared got mosquito larvae... u know wat i found.. i move those plant away to check... i saw a big bubble nest wif lots of eggs... bcoz of my action, all the other bettas rush to that area and start to eat all the eggs... i can see the male is chasing away the other betta.. but, there was too many of them.. so, even he chase one away.. the others still tnjoy the eggs.. den, i decided to move back the floating plant... n let it be... coz i dun know wat to do.. feel so sorry for the male...

b4 that.. when the eggs hav been blow up to the bubblenest.. i will juz nid to wait the eggs to hatched, but this male i dun know y.. he blow up all the eggs.. n the next day.. finish half of it.. the 3rd day.. finish all...

i m not expert here.. but, i will try to answer u.. may i know do the betta still swim like b4... try to check the body.. got many possiblity lead to this problem...may b fungus or bacteria attack.. water condition... is it too dirty..
sometime, overfeed will cause this problem...


my solution for u is..
-try not to feed him for this few days.."betta won;t die even they dun eat for weeks"
-fully changed the water...refil wif only aged water or treated tap water...
-put some KTP n a little bit of salt..<<RMB, the are freshwater fish..dun overdose>>

updated us next few days, c wat problem...
if vr serious.. u may nid some medicine.. like green, methylene blue or japanese yellow powder...
BUT.. try to cure them by using natural way.. personally, i dun like those chemical medicine...

Added on October 4, 2008, 2:58 amaiks.. now.. i like a god father or a care taker... looks like a servant for all my frys.. total of the frys shud exceed thoosand gua... everyday nid to prepare food for them..feeds them twice a day... n WC each 2 days....nid to siphon all the dirt n poo...

somemore the food nid to b variety... bbs, MW,daphnia and egg yolk.. pening lah ....

those 3 weeks onwards frys...i hav move them to outdoor d.. to increase their growth rate... hopefully, they won;t dissapoint me..

ya.. u can use blackwater extract.. it has the same effect as well... n where is ur location.. if u r nearby.. u can come my houuse to collect fr me lo.. i got keep some for myself...

n dun feed ur bettas wif live food fish.. sometime live food cause the illness to the fish.. somemmore ur fish is not in good condition...
dun worry bout starving... my male in the spawn tanks, 3 weeks dun eat oso no problem...(MAY B HE ACCIDENTALLY EAT THE FRYS)

overfeed will alwiz lead to a problem.. so, juz let it b in this few days.. after u soak him inside the KTP water for a day.. den, juz try to feed him..

wat is the purpose u breed betta first? if u r thinkin to earn money.. sometime, u spent more than u earn.. i think most of the sifu here agree...

if u juz a pure hobbist? y do u nid to find any partner...

b4 u breed ur betta first, do ask urself.. are u ready for it.... ur frys food are ready? and can u spend ur time on feeding them twice daily.. water change twice a week... preparing food.. culturing ur own MW, hatching bbs, culturing daphnia...

if u r ready.. den, juz bought a pair and try out urself... spawning is easy and interesting ... raising up frys is a headache part...

personnaly, my family members hav complain bout it... coz i dun back to my hometown often like b4... coz i nid to take care of those small frys.. they will starv n die if u dun feed them for day...

Added on October 6, 2008, 10:01 amhahaha.. i staying at seri kembangan lo... my wholehouse hav been ocupied by me... the whole living room is full of styrox box, tub, jar and aquarium tank..even it the kitchen....
the parking lot hav been use to put some cull bettas and grow plants which i will use for my frys...
the backyard hav 8 strobox as well, use it to keep bigger frys and culturing daphnia...


i hav not cull any of the frys.... bcoz the older frys is about 5 weeks old only....

but, those frys that spawn by the cull bettas... i dun really care bout them... coz i juz wan the plant only. not the frys... cuz i dun think they will up to the standard lo....juz wait.. if they grow up wif vr nice colour n finnage.. juz scoop them into my house..hahaha....

the frys like live food... i dun think they will take pellect lo.. may b a bit lo... egg yolk will make the water dirty...
MW is the easiest live food for new born frys.. they are small enuf for the frys... n vr easy to culture and harvest
BBS.. i think will only suit frys for 1 week old onwards.... and muz rinse them well b4 u feed them to ur frys... coz they hatch fr salt water.. so, it may cost swim bladder disorder..
i think daphnia is good if u wan to pump up the small frys... for only for those big frys.. cuz sometime they are too big for frys

personally.. i recomend u to get a good pair... bcoz breed VT or HM work are all the same... so, to get a satisfied outcome.. get a better grade...

erm.. if u still wan to try to breed... i hav some cull halfmoon female(but sure better than VT), juz nid to scope them if u wan it... only self-collection at my place.... pm me for more detail...

may b after u cross male VT to female halfmoon... probably.. u will get some delta tail...

FYI,his location is batu pahat, johor.. ask around at that area.. may b u can get wat u wan..

LFS.. is vr hard to get a nice bettas.. get them fr some local breeder will b good.. or else go aquabid to bid ur fish lo... they trade in USD.. and the shipment is the headache part... sometime u dun get the fish, but the seller claim they hav sent u already... n the shipmet fee is not cheap oso..

y u keep wan to come my house.. i giv u uncle wong number already mar.. u can go to visit his place oso... he welcome everybody one... my place not that convenient leh... got housemate lah..somemore now is ecam week... everybody is busy study(except me, still surfing and feeding those bettas)... unless u wait after 20th october lo.. they went back hometown d.. u juz come lo...

Added on October 12, 2008, 3:18 ampersoanally.. they are nth special bout the glass tank lo... juz that... they are putting in a straight line and share the same water.. coz at the btm got hole to let the water flow thru...

there are some setback for this tank... the most important is that, if anyone of them fall sick.. they rest will kena oso...
