parallel with rear speakers...

assuming u r running both at 4ohms, when u connect to the amp it will bcome 2ohm. can ur amp take 2ohm load?

second would be that ur staging will be affected badly
esp mixed signals.... subs playing too high frequency and ur rear speakers playing too low frquencies

Thanks for the reply.

Currently I am not using any amp, just direct from the HU to the rear.

So does this mean that for better sound (bass) I need an amp?

Is there any kind of DIY? or is it better to ask an installer to install?

Agreeable though. A woofer needs at least 600watts if im not mistaken.

just install 2 x 8" woofer in place of my car's orginal 2 x 6" woofer at the back, hanging free air, sounded much better now, better and more solid bass, yup, nothing great and definately not stopping your heart but it satisfied my requirement of small improvement with minimal cost..

without amp, some say the HU will snap, some say the woofer will snap, but my 8" should works just fine tongue.gif

What do you mean?

Mind to post some photos in here and show it to us?

Btw, how much it cost you?
