QUOTE(ruztynail @ Sep 1 2008, 12:16 PM) sure or not.... no forumners reported on this also.. if it did i am sure there would be threads on it already.. an di frequent the sony wings in klcc. none of this sort happened Heheh of course la I wish. But yes RM1000 cash voucher is a good deal provided you are willing to camp there for it lol u wish.... its the next purchase.... not the same one. unless u go partnet wit a friend to buy one unit each.. the 2nd unit u guys split the rm500.(if u both are really good friends hehe ). u let him/her use the voucher.. he pays u b rm1000.. or lesser if u guys wanna nego. QUOTE(praetorion @ Sep 12 2008, 02:02 AM) Bluray disc is region free. only DVD still region lock. you cant play other region DVD with PS3 other than the one specific where the console is sold. Actually Bluray isn't region free. Asian PS3 plays Region A blurays and Region 3 DVDs. And while ps3 games have regions, you can play any region on the ps3 i.e. it basically means ps3 games are region free.Region A: North America, Central America, South America, Japan, Taiwan, North Korea, South Korea, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. Region B: Europe, Greenland, French territories, Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Region C: India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Mainland China, Pakistan, Russia, Central and South Asia This post has been edited by aphrael: Sep 12 2008, 03:49 AM |

Actually changing the HDD will NOT void the warranty.
QUOTE The PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system hard disk drive (HDD) is removable and upgradeable. An upgrade can be performed by removing the hard drive and replacing it with a larger capacity drive. Please refer to the PLAYSTATION 3 system owner's manual on how to properly upgrade the hard disk drive. The HDD must be a 2.5” SATA HDD. Sony Computer Entertainment America, Inc. (SCEA) does not have any information regarding specific compatibility or recommendations for hard disk drives for the PLAYSTATION 3 system. Upgrading the HDD will not void the warranty, however, the consumer takes full responsibility when upgrading the HDD. If you wish to back up your data, you may use the back up utility on the PLAYSTATION 3." Source This post has been edited by aphrael: Sep 17 2008, 02:05 AM |

This is the new 80GB ps3 CECHK06. It's basically the same specs as the 40GB except with a larger HDD and comes with DS3 controllers.

You have to create a few root folders to store your media in. These root folders must be in ALL CAPS, but your media folders within those don't have to be all caps. Here are the root folders:MUSIC PICTURE VIDEO Btw, all these questions should be posted in the FAQ for Beginners thread This post has been edited by aphrael: Sep 22 2008, 03:10 AM |
