Ruff Bark here. Just a mini announcement that I've registered a new account 'cause I prefer to be known by my more common Internet handle, Fat Cat Lim.

I'm informed that the PS3 microsite should be updated in about an hour's time. So tonight we should see some news. Otherwise maybe by tomorrow~
I'm also told that those who leave the gaming line for the game competition for too long will be disqualified from the competition, so the issue of those who line up for the competition getting an unfair advantage on the early bird special shouldn't be a problem. QUOTE(jehutyz @ Sep 11 2008, 07:25 PM) Ignore the news. Yeah, when we first got the news, it was tentatively RM1,699. But the price has since then been revised to RM1,799. You'll also note that the number of cash vouchers given away has been increased to 120, and the bundle also includes more items too. That was the initial news that GameAxis got it. Where Fat Cat Lim (Ruff Bark) posted. Now official is RM 1,799. Although it is unfortunate that some of our regular readers may not be aware of the new revised price, at least the difference is only off by RM100. Not to mention that our readers at least has a confirmation of the place and date of the event. This post has been edited by Fat Cat Lim: Sep 11 2008, 10:55 PM |

QUOTE(CoLiNJvC @ Sep 11 2008, 10:56 PM) FatCatLimBro... have any news about how many bundled they're prepared? i don wanna like rushing for it... I don't know, but I'm assuming (note: "assuming" as I haven't spoken to my contact yet) that there should be enough to accommodate those who want to buy the bundled units without queuing up for the cash voucher. Sony Malaysia should be experienced enough to estimate the number of units to bring to the launch event.Added on September 11, 2008, 11:02 pm QUOTE(ericpires @ Sep 11 2008, 10:09 PM) Why not ask the whole LYN ppl go there make riot there in 1U and run away with all the PS3 and vouchers... hahaha.... If I'm not mistaken, the event is taking place outside of the 1Utama main entrance.24 hour marathon ? that means 1utama won't close r ? QUOTE(raptor_cZn @ Sep 11 2008, 11:08 PM) So does the bundle include the DS3 or what? The bundle comes with 1 (ONE) DS3 controller. Sony's site seems to be doing a very bad job in relaying proper information to usĀ If in doubt, please check the 1st official press release that I had initially posted. It CLEARLY says that the new PS3 to be launched in Malaysia comes with the DS3 controller. Yes, the website info is a little inaccurate, but I believe it's just a simple error. Frankly speaking, I'm getting a little tired of explaining the same thing over and over. Added on September 11, 2008, 11:27 pm QUOTE(maskedchan @ Sep 11 2008, 11:20 PM) FatCatLimBro... where is the booth actually??any info on that? I don't really know because (1) I'm not a Sony employee and (2) I don't have access to the floor plan. But I was initially told that it was an outdoor event.it say HIghstreet...highstreet is long and big too...at least tell us near which shop... so we will know where to queue and exactly the booth..so wont "sesat" ![]() If I'm not mistaken, it should be at the Guest Drop Off / Taxi stand in front of U Parkson and Giant (aka, the New Wing). There's a little outdoor area there where some events are sometimes held there. A few months back, the Indie Youth Fest also took place there with local bands playing just outside there. I'll try get more info tomorrow if this area is indeed where the launch is going to take place. This post has been edited by Fat Cat Lim: Sep 11 2008, 11:29 PM |

QUOTE(cycheah @ Sep 11 2008, 11:34 PM) probably u should have a faq on the main page... =.= else everyone will have never ending repeated question... The first page actually has all of the latest info. jehutyz has been doing a great job updating it. jehutyz, perhaps you can update the title to include the words "(read first post for more info!)" so that people can refer to your post? This post has been edited by Fat Cat Lim: Sep 11 2008, 11:41 PM |

QUOTE(zenquix @ Sep 11 2008, 11:56 PM) 1) the original bundle posted by fat cat lim had a hdmi cable as part of the bundle 1) What HDMI cable? When did I ever post about the bundle coming with an HDMI cable??? The press release that I posted stated that the PS3 comes with an HDMI output, not cable. now it has become a lan cable. 2) for the power supply look @ http://corp.sony.com.my/3/pop_up.html. i look at my 40gb and i dun see that box there actually, at closer look even the composite cable picture looks weird 2) That's rather strange. Probably another mistake. Will notify Sony Malaysia tomorrow. This post has been edited by Fat Cat Lim: Sep 12 2008, 12:08 AM |

QUOTE(kerollowyat @ Sep 12 2008, 11:32 AM) Haha.. Sony Style Malaysia offers free nationwide delivery for purchases above RM200. So if you pre-order online, I suppose you'll get the PS3 delivered to your doorstep. I know all the details is in the first page. Yet, I dont know why I read all the previous posts. I felt maybe there are some tips, some useful information that I can learn. Anyway, thanks a lot for maintaining the updates. Can only choose either pre-order or queue during launch to buy. Correct or not? If pre-order, then where to collect? I'm fear if not pre-order, then I queue and dont get. Then, I dont get to buy. I'm confuse and really need to clarify these things fast. Going to buy a ticket to KL today Hope everyone understand what I'm trying to say. |

QUOTE(melt @ Sep 12 2008, 12:09 PM) The bundled only limited to 150 console if all 150 console had been sold then you wouldnt get that bundle anymore. I think the bundle only valid on the 20th September (That if you are planning to come down on that day) There's only 120 bundles, not 150. It's only limited to the early birds who queue up on the day of the Malaysia launch.Added on September 12, 2008, 12:16 pm QUOTE(CoLiNJvC @ Sep 12 2008, 12:11 PM) The special bundle is only for the Malaysia launch. Singapore already launched the PS3 last year...This post has been edited by Fat Cat Lim: Sep 12 2008, 12:16 PM |

QUOTE(jehutyz @ Sep 12 2008, 12:18 PM) Want the bundle then have to queue up. Actually from what I understand, the special launch RM1,799 bundle may only be limited to 120 units...Limited units only. If not mistaken is more than 120 units. Just that first 120th customer will get the cash voucher. Total how many units? Really have no idea for it. Also another confirmation: the launch will take place at the area that I previously mentioned: the Guest/Taxi drop-off point in front of the new wing at UParkson/Giant.
