1) This one is confirm.
2) I heard is not much too but maybe warehouse got it. Sony Malaysia also glad to sell more rite.

Actually I heard that they're only bringing in exactly 120 special bundles. But I'm not sure how many standalone units they'll bring on that day. Will check back on Monday with my contact.

Woo you have cover the whole event?
Hope that day can meet you.

Well, I'll definitely drop by the day before to check out the SCIV gaming marathon. I don't know if anybody's crazy enough to come at midnight, but I'll at least try to come as early as possible for the event in the morning.

Okay, some bad news. I've been informed by Sony Malaysia that the online pre-order bundle is now limited to Special Sony Club members, so it's no longer "first come first serve".

I'm not quite sure what he meant by 'Special Sony Club' members, but I'm guessing the bundle is now limited only to regular Sony Club customers instead of the general public.

I know what you mean...but I guess they wanted to give some more value to their Sony Club members. We also try to do the same thing for our magazine subscribers.

For those still wondering which PS3 will be on sale tomorrow, here's the proof that it will be the new 80GB Core Pack with the DS3 controller.

The RM500 and RM300 cash voucher is pretty worth it. But then again, I'm single so I probably don't have the same priorities. ^^;

Probably from evening time the queue should pick up. Normally not too many people will queue up a day before the launch. It's usually the morning or the night before that the queue starts to pick up.

Do you think I stand a chance if i go at 7 am? Got some transport problems.

To be honest, I don't think so. But if there isn't a great demand for the RM150 cash vouchers, you might be lucky.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
even the greatest hits titles are that high?omg.. i was thinking more along the lines of 150 doh.gif

thanks for the info..a little less enthusiastic about going now.. laugh.gif
*
I'm not too sure about that. I didn't check all the prices for the games, so the Greatest Hits could be cheaper. I only saw the price tag for a few titles.

Well, it doesn't hurt to drop by and take a look. smile.gif

See below reply by wmconan.

QUOTE(lilcool)
How many will be available tomorrow? As we know first 120 units will get voucher. After that can still buy at RM1799 + 2 games or not?

If I'm not mistaken, Sony will only bring in 120 units to the launch. After that, it's all sold out. Then you'll have to check with the Sony Style store to see if they have the same bundle or not. :/

Wasn't able to take pictures of the gaming marathon finals and the prize giving ceremony as I was busy interviewing the President of Sony Computers Entertainment Asia. :/ Anyway, I'm off to take a nap.

Err, those weren't the first customers. They are Sony staff, rehearsing the launch a couple hours before the actual event, which is why the guy was holding the Starbucks coffee cup on stage, lol.

The real first customer was this girl.

I interviewed her briefly, and she said she and her boyfriend would take turns to go back home to freshen up.
