 Budget 2009, incentive on home-loan interest??

I heard there are incentive on home-loan interest, how does this work?

from what i gather,

previously, if your company gave you a housing loan, the interest you saved compared to if you took a loan from the bank will be deemed to be a part of your salary and as such taxable.

however now, the interest saved will no longer be taxable.

how does the company determine how much you have saved ? since there is no fix rate to reference to .. hmm.gif

i really have no idea... perhaps the current market rate?

i didn't bother with this as my company doesnt give loans biggrin.gif
