Hi guys, can recommend any heatsink for my old PC? icon_question.gif

P4 2.4Ghz, socket 478, stock fan.
Idle = 39 degree
Full load = 61 degree

p.s.
Idle = not doing anything with computer for 15 minutes
Full load = run Prime95 torture test for 15 minutes

The main reason I wanna replace is noisy fan is killing me! Already 6 years and I've had enough!!! shakehead.gif

Looking for a quiet fan.
Budget: Around RM 100 (This PC I just for usual daily works, I already have anotehr new PC that's why won't put too much budget in this)

Thanks bro but I couldn't find the different between 2.8 and 3.2 Ghz for 478.
I wonder why the requirement base on the processor speed?

Any other recom? coz I not sure it can used on my comp, it's 120mm, and it says 3.2Ghz and above.

What's different between ThermalRIGHT and ThermalTAKE??? rclxub.gif

Ignore that, it doesn't matter if you use a 2.8GHz or a 3.2GHz processor.
If it's made Socket 478, then it's bound to fit in all Socket 478, no matter what speed you use.

If you can find used Thermalright XP-120, then that's the best heatsink for Pentium 4 Socket 478 processors.

Different brands, different company.
It has no similarities.

Thanks a lot.
Any idea where can I get these fan for 478?

Howabout Thermalright XP-90? coz I found one in the internet. Can give some comment on it?
