the effect of lapping too much wont be like this... may be u lapping not evenly..

iirc if u lapped too much the pipe will hancur and all the liquid inside will come out

iinm if lapped unevenly the base will incline at one side, it doesn't affect only in spots, and for my base, it seems like the spots are actually near the sides of the processor. maybe I've tighten it too much, but I couldn't feel any indentation on the base.

Oh and one more thing, I'm using the provided rubber holder to attach the fan. If I just wanna tie it with straps, will it affect the processor? You know, fans vibrate, so it might be harmful to the proc. Or is it OK as long as I mount the hsf tightly?

Could anyone help me with this problem of mounting a fan without screw threads on my hyper 212+

I have a hyper 212+ with the default blademaster fan, I tried mounting on an additional CM fan(R4-C2R-20AC-GP) in the pull configuration for better cooling.

But i'm encountering problems screwing the screws provided in the 212+. The fan doesnt have any threads and the screws seem to be a bit large for it.
Am i using the wrong screws? or should i force the screws in, or thread the fan holes?

Height for the Venomous X is 160mm, while the width for both the casings is 190mm but not yet include the mobo tray and mobo width so it will be close to the side panel of the casings but i think it will fit. Measurement taken from each part's website
