Here's my experience with CCF though, used to face it up. But temperature went down slightly (1~2C) when I face it to the back exhaust instead. Only reason I can think of the air intake for my CCF comes from bottom which is where my 4850GS is located. Air there is a little warm due to the heat dissipated by the GC.

Well, if you can't face it to the back then face it to the top would be your next best choice.

Perhaps heatsinks maker should invent universal S-Clip like Thermalright . So AM2 platform can have air direction like intel.

if i face rear, the rear fan helps to suck out the hot air frm the fan on hsf, which means...double performance?

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Feb 8 2009, 12:36 AM) if i face rear, the rear fan helps to suck out the hot air frm the fan on hsf, which means...double performance? its still same theory if u face top(if u put fan at top of ur cm690), but it will suck 2gather hot air frm GC to cool ur HS..so it should be get beter performance if u make it face rear.. |
