what i think atomkinder meant is those cars are customed painted, and then reblistered...not mattel's official colours.

there is a technique called reblistering. this done when you apply a solution onto the back of the blister card that will soak the card. this will cause the minimal tear (note its minimal tear, not clean tear) of the card. then after you done whatever to the car (in this case, barbeque), you stick it back using white glue, make sure the plastic is positioned in the same way you removed it. after white glue has dried, there is no stain or very slight trace of glue. this reblistering technique is almost perfect if done properly.

most of the reblistering work was done quite well, except for a few, notably:


the bottom of this card has a vein that runs from the bottom left to right then spreads out where the plastic is in contact with paper. reblistering which is not very well done.


this one is less obvious, where you can see a vein on the bottom left corner.
