and when he saw chau (linda) : " why is ting ting still alive?"

to be fair, she isn't given many chances to shine in MR. A very unlikeable character and very unlucky for Linda. she is given a similar role as HOG and her character requires her to cry a lot which can be frustrating to the viewers. She said in an interview that initially there were even more crying scenes, she has to discuss with the director to cut down some because some of them are very unnecessary. Her character, Chau is very indecisive in love relationships and she's way too obedient to her mom. The character itself is boring, dull and not special. There's nothing Linda could do, she just has to follow the script and bring out what her character is supposed to be.
Since she's the daughter of the biggest villain, Hong Yi, the scriptwriter should have written more about her relationship with her mom and how she is involved in all the family matters, instead of just focusing on the boring love relationship. How could Chau has so little scenes with her mom and her own dad. Its very ridiculous that Chau didn't even know the things that happened at home, not even when her Dad returned and helped her mom to do many bad things until the very last moment when her dad is going to die.
The scriptwriter has wasted a supposedly important character and he admits in an interview that he has made Chau and Dr Ling's characters unlikeable because in all dramas, there will be likeable and unlikeable characters.
The only chance Linda can show her acting skills is the finale when she betrayed her mom. That scene was awesome. Both Linda and Michelle Yim did great and that's the only exciting part of the finale. If there were more scenes of her and Hong Yi, the story would be so much better and her role in MR would be more interesting. linda has definitely improved, especially her scenes with her co-stars, more chemistry with Raymond and Bosco.
