I pumped full tank yesterday nite at subang and I drove to melaka this morning.Once I reach melaka. I pumped my car to the max.Initially pumped until rm25, the nozzle 'click'. I am not sure whether full d not so I continue to pumped.until rm28 , my fuel almost spill out.
so if i assumed rm25 to reach my full tank from subang to melaka.
total mileage 145km
Rm 25 = 145km
1 km = Rm0.1724
1 km = 0.068 liter of fuel

I am damn happy and satisfied for the fc after so many months. Still wondering why I can get 1km = rm0.30 here in melaka.Just because i din speed?the gap is so big man

it will be much more better if u warm up the engine before u drive.I used to do that every morning.Pick up is slow and the rpm hard to go up but i do not find this wrong actually.once ur gear change to 2nd or 3rd.This car can accelerate very fast. fast i meant. biggrin.gif

My saga blm got alot of problem

1)high fuel consumption
2)not smooth acceleration, kinda slow and no power
3)door problem, when i press the door hard the light will bright even i lock it.
4)even with power steering i still feel the steering is heavier and slower then other car
*
1) May I know are u driving the auto or the manual wan? I heard that the manual wan has higher fc than the auto wan.If u r driving this car in auto slowly like how i dirve here in malacca town. my fc is rm0.3 = 1km while i came down from kl to malacca through highway is rm0.17= 1km. how high is ur fc?
2)new car i supposed bloew 2000km?it will improve after 5000km trust me.warm up ur engine before u drive. it will be a very big diff.
3)No cars are perfect mister. even a brand new bmw has it own minor problem. I had problem with my handbrake as well.drive ur car to the sc and ask them to fix it.
4)u r joking. proton's handling is tuned by lotus tech. dont tell me u prefer myvi handling. i think u need to exercise ur arm. offense.I felt more secured and easy to drive my saga out. I am proud of it

suppose the dripping is from the air-cond water (condense, correct me if i'm wrong)... did you put your air-cond on full blast (temperature) and still did not felt the coldness???
*
no but i am using the same temperature and the same speed of the fan all this while.unless in the hot day i will switch it colder.but all i noticed that my air cond really wasnt that cold anymore.my family and friends said that as well.

IAFM is controlled by vacuum pressure la, when u hit certain pressure it will open. If its VIM like the CPS then its controlled by ECU. When at idle the vacuum is at the highest and when u open the throttle the vacuum drops, once the vacuum pressure drops to a certain point the runner will switch.
*
means it will open when i travel on 80km/h?it will stay open if even do i travel below 80?

My fc now,auto tranny, rm40 = 185km(moderate + spirited driving city 80%)

The lastest one is heavy footed driving very aggressive rm40 = 170km(80% city)

Total mileage is 10k++

mine RM70+ = 260km
average = 60km/h
driving in penang
still below 1000km though

come bro we go complain to proton together. i damn tak puas... this kind of fc is even worse than 2000cc car man, and
the SA dare tell me this car's fc definitely better than myvi
and, i'm light footed. i keep my revs mostly below 2.5
*
i also tak puas la...but i am wondering how to fix our fc. i am a light footed driver as well...i rev below 2.5 always...how come some people getting good fc and we bad fc? which part of our car have problem?or defect?
maybe heavy foot will improve our fc?

Normal.......Highway driving give far better mileage than normal road drive. For auto, every single mins when your car is on the road but not moving, does responsible for the "fuel drinking" FC.....I drive 1.3 A too...Asked foreman on auto FC, why such a big gap between light traffic & heavy traffic, he replied thats the "nature" of auto cars sweat.gif & he added if u want comfortable leg while traffic jam, you pay more for fuel sweat.gif  doh.gif
*
but i heard that people and even proton claiming that the at transmission is more fuel efficient than the mt transmission ones?

My Auto BLM FC really bad ler at 0.27 cents per km (Rm2.30/liter). I visited 2 proton workshops and they say nothing can be done after the black oil has been changed. But I read from all the replies here something can be done? Which workshop did u guys go? I live in PJ.
*
u live in pj?
ur car is auto or manual?
total mileage?
how about ur average speed?
I live in subang but i always drove to pj.
but most of teh time i will be in malacca for study purpose.
in malacca my fc is always around rm0.26
in subang and pj, my fc will be always rm0.18 cause i tend to speed more than 80km/h rather than 60km/h in malacca.

Added on November 4, 2008, 2:40 ami done my 2nd service yesterday
used back the shell 15w-50 which costed me rm110.29
plus some other stuff which total up rm134++.
i saw them cleaning my iafm.
is something like a sponge inside the filter box.
they clean it with some high pressurize air.hope my car's performance will improve.
for auto driver,
i am not so sure. but i do experience some jerking when i tend to step harder on the gas pedal. is it normal?

i think some workshop can fix it without changing rim? if not, just change to brand new lightweight sportrim, taiwan rim is recommended.
*
yea...quite huge...tried my best to evade but hell ya...it was on the middle of the road. i was surprised i am not the only one. In fact threre are about 4 cars including a 3 series park at the side changing tyre smile.gif
