mine is only took few second to save the pic. if i use night mode then will be slightly longer.. no hang issue there

No lah. I've got a wife, not a girlfriend. Bought the set on 27-12-08. White cover, yes. Just viewed e_trade_pj latest posting: Nokia 5800 for Rm1490 and E63 for Rm990, ori sets. Price sure drop for N79.

I'm loving the phone but it's a little buggy in my opinion. I'm waiting on the new firmware. Taking ages for asia. Or am I doing it wrong?
Anyone know how to update to the new v11 one? Care to give some pointers? =)

im waiting the newset firmware too. if u wan flash it forcefully u can try out NSS to change ur product code. then using NSU to update it. however it's not recommended as u will lost the initial language pack. if ur chinese writing user then u might lost the chinese language support.

I guess i'll just wait then. I can't read chinese but all that force-flashing and whatnot seems pretty difficult.

ya.. force flashing is not tat difficult. as long as u got the appropriate software then u can do it urself. i will wait until nokia release it officially. i need chinese support and my set is avaxx set. not willing to change my product code as it will void the warranty

Ahh it was u lol my gf so far is satisfied with her n79.. though sometimes she still thinking of changing to tube.. ow is it a little buggy? care to share? maybe i can ask my gf later see whether she's experiencing it or not..

It's a little slow for one, and my camera went a little nuts last night at a party but was alright after a reset. 3 of my pictures came out completely white. It also hung on me once today.
Other that that, the phone's pretty much perfect. Best part is the new navi-wheel. Feels a lot like my old iPod. My fren's N81 navi-wheel just plain sucks but the N79 wheel is a really big improvement.

Owh guys, I just wanna ask... when you hold the menu key down, your active applications will appear right? What applications do you guys have on by default? Mine has 'menu' and 'standby' on at all times but my fren's S60 phone only has 'standby' and I can't seem to close my 'menu' app.

ya, i love the navi wheel as well~ feel like my ipod classic last time~

can this phone on their flash light? like for night time use... verty dark then need on light... can on led?

on the flashlight without booting up the camera function to use as torch = no

on the flashlight continuously during camera mode = no

on the flashlight during video shooting mode = yes

apparently, if u wanna use it as a torch, u have to "record" video to enable the led to continuously on....
im not so sure abt the newer firmware though...

can. you can even use it to flash S.O.S signal

I was a little disappointed too that I can't use the LED as a flashlight. My old W810 could do it and it was really handy.

Hi guys....i did some research and found out that the price bet. N79 and E66 is almost same...I knw that N79 is latest than E66..but base on the design, performance, i think E66 is better than N79...are u all agree??
Sorry..i am not meant to say that N79 is not bad, just piece if my comment only...
