man, mustaine is a terrific guitar player, but sometimes his attitude very sux! feud against all lead guitarist member, it just a matter of time before he starts one against chris broderick
1. Youthanasia - Megadeth 2. Killing is My Business (Remastered or original) - Megadeth 3. Any Anthrax first 4 albums 4. Any Exodus first 3 albums and Exhibit B 5. The Final Frontier - Iron Maiden

But i like to collect CD and album. It is my hobby as long as i can afford the price. Beside that, i want premium audio quality not some compressed mp3 or FLAC from unknown source. I know those guys are super rich but i'll not support the art of dismantling industry record. As Rob Zombie stated, today lots of demand from people for music but only tiny of them willing to spend on them. I don't want digital download from iTunes replace the physical medium because iTunes is Steve Job money grabbing machine. Some artist stated they only received puny amount of profit when their music is sold via iTunes. Some of them also encourage people to buy straight from artist and didn't recommend people to buy their music through iTunes or any music service provider. Remember artist only gain maximum about $1 per CD that sold. If 10000 album sold, which is very unlikely in this era the band get roughly about $10000, but they must pay the record company, producer, songwriter and divide them per band member. So each member only got like $1000. I don't think they can make lots of $$$ by only selling CD.
what you say there quite true man,i myself once love to buy/collect cd album, sing along with the lyric printed on the booklet...missed that goood old days...it's give me satisfied to see a lot of cd collection in my room...but then the internet era came...god bless internet..hahahha....i also dunno where is my old collection already....nowdays i only buy cd that worth to spend only...
hi all, i want to ask for your suggestion, i already listening to Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer ,Iron Maiden stuff.. can i know about others great album by others band?i prefer to thrash and heavy metal only... dont want other genres ok thanks..
Pantera-even though they're dead already Trivium Sepultura-old sepultura with max cavalera Mercyful Fate
I think today Megadeth line up is on par with Marty era. The lead guitarist Chris Broderick is very, very talented. He can play all Marty solos without struggling unlike Al Pitrelli and Glen Drover which tend to simplify Marty solos. And David Ellefson is back too. Shawn Drover maybe not technical and agressive as Nick Menza or Jimmy DeGrasso but he keep the timing well and his playing is close to the original recording without any extra drum fill which is something that Mustaine like.
Try listen to that song, it is special for guitar hero game so maybe you'll feel there are too many solos which is sometime out of place.
since someone just mentioned marty friedman, anybody has listen to his new album, Bad D.N.A. ? it's awesome man...definitely the best of the rest eventhough J-pop influence still clearly heard...but he mixed it perfectly...
who is he? I don't know much about neo-classical/virtuoso guitarist.
Added on January 19, 2011, 11:42 pm recently i bought Strange Beautiful Music album. I must say it is very underrated. I like Joe because his solos and music has soul, rhythm and melody although he is not flashy as other neo-classical guitarist. Where can i buy his albums?
Joe satriani brought instrumental music into a new level man.i think he capable of playing any kind of style.just name it. and the best part is, he's so good in improvise.yeah. btw, The extremist & Joe satriani (self title album) is my favorite
recently i listen to Echo. What a beautiful song. The best thing is when Joe play live he always did his improvisation, he never play the same solo twice.
that's what i'm talking about. improvisation master.the live version of "War" he played on G3 is the best one. i really, really hope on next G3 or live dvd he play "Down, down, down". that song really deep man.
His album is more entertaining and mind blowing than Steve Vai. Do you know where to buy Not of This Earth? Is that album has newer pressing? The original Relativity pressing has been out of print.
Joe Satriani isn't metal, he is in instrumental rock genre so i should post this in Rock thread instead, but i don't think those fella at rock thread will reply my post about him.
Steve vai too experimental, i think.maybe hard for someone to understand his music. you've check Acoustic music station @ Pertama complex? i used to buy many albums before torrent era.
heard it already, intro riff sound "like tears in a vial" from world need a hero album. and when i read the track list, i think some of the song were already in the past album.hhmmm... need to check my Megadeth album back.
to all you metallica/megadeth folks - can you please go create a metallica/megadeth or whatever thread and discuss there instead ?
this is supposed to be the METAL thread - we talk about death metal, black metal here.....
then mayb someone should change this thread title to black & death metal only... or mayb u can open new thread where u can talk about black & death metal only...
This thread become lame with invading metallica and megadeth..the appreciation of other fantastic metal decrease. its like everything metal must have metallica in it. lame.
I even skip metallica in abu dhabi next week. because its lame already + expecting many idiotic local fans for that crap. Why? If you attend desert rock festival previously you will know.
Now go listen to my friend tobbe from metalcovenant recommendation(we have a lot of chat at Wacken), and the album is one of the best 2011. Its like Dark Tranquillity + In Flames. Metallica's Death Magnetic not even close to this one....
Communicate The Storm!
lame to u not necessarily lame to everybdy else.not everyone dig death, black metal with hard to understand voice.till this title thread still about metal, in generally, im gonna keep posting bout metallica & megadeth.pis.
