 in befur sewius bsns heavy metal is the umbrella term for all other subgenres of metal today. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavy_metal_music http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_heavy_metal_genres it depends on your ears some ppl only listen to thrash as other metals are lame and vice versa dont let subgenres limit your experience although i prefer mdm or mbm personally |

apparently just listening to metal isnt metal enough hav to score a1 in metal history and have hands-in industrial experience then only can be accepted by old ppl  |
