Officially unlocked iPhones are the way to go, saves you the trouble of playing cat-and-mouse whenever new updates are released.

You gonna get flamed....question asked too many times before, search and u'll see.

official unlock, i.e. unlock code that u request from the service provider is legal...

other method is all illegal! and there will be some problems that u'll face

i really do not mean to be rude, but you ought to steer as far as feasible from unofficially locked aifontrigi.

they are nothing but trouble. ALL the officially unlocked aifontrigi here users, as far i'm concerned are extremely pleased with their purchases.

FYI, turbosim is just a brand, as there are numerous different manufacturers and grades. hence given at the wrong time and place, they might not perform as brilliantly as claimed by the unofficially unlocked sellers. just try not to be bitten into their sweet word and charms.

coz seems there's alot of iphone seller are not selling officially unlocked one, so shud be got alot of user also gua

Unlock 3G iPhone..working perfectly.

Turbosim etc..non trouble free

it is illegal if u refer to the terms & condition that u signed with the service provider...

some countries have law that prevent anti-competitive of those service provider, and thus they are not allowed to lock the phone, i.e. NZ, and some are required by law to unlock the phone for the customer if they requested it, i.e. AUS

My advice, go for official unlock iPhone don't think it is that hard to find now as compared to the EDGE iPhone era

aiyak....if official unlock, is also need to go back that country to claim rite? or no need ?

eg: i buy a singapore set, also need to go back SG to claim? or malaysia also can?

really no one like to use search feature in this forum ?

for iPhone warranty claims, you need to go back to the respective countries' service provider/apple support to claim warranty....unlike other apple products' worldwide warranty

u buy from SG of course go back SG for claim la...

errr... the chances of your iphone malfunctioning (not due to your wrongdoings for example, water spillage, accidental drop etc) are extremely low as well.


but to be honest, warranty is least of my concern. overtime i (i believe this is applicable to the rest as well), i grew sick of having to wait for someone to create a hacked fw etc. i want to actually restore my iphone via itunes with a peace of mind.

if need to go back singapore claim, then the warranty really like no use also >.<

btw, the topic now change liao, to unhappy turbo sim user here

one person in garage sales selling officially unlcoked ones has also placed a pic of an iphon exploding after using the TurboSim

i've never got iphone 3G but here are my experience on my hardware unlocked iphone 2G.

my sim tray got stucked together with the hypersim.

still usable, but the sim tray not popping up when poking the hole with a small pin.

i assume it will happen the same to iphone 3G if you don't insert your sim tray properly.

Yap. For sure u will got this problem if using sim unlocker. U have to make simcard thin same level as sim tray haveto gosok2 back simcard using glasspaper.

anyone here can help me to unlock my iphone 3g?

I'd say the guy deserves what's coming at him. Tampering with the iPhone with HARDWARE that are not mean to be used with it, invites consequences that you will have to bear, and unfortunately in this case, his eagerness to get an iPhone 3G without proper researching and weighing his options on the dangers and risks of using such a hardware solution results in the said explosion.

Let see those sellers in Garage Sales weaseling their way out of this. As for buyers who still go through this route after this revealing info, dont come back whining here about your exploding iPhones after prior warnings such as these have been conveyed.

Simple put. There's no software to unlock 3g iPhone yet. You cam use Turbo Sim and would you like your phone to be like post #33?

I never try a turbo sim iphone 3G before and also dunno how stable it is but what I heard from supplier from oversea australia is that the hardware sims currently on the market are not stable...

therefore they are not selling any now, they are still waiting on a stable one to be out so they can sell .... just my info to share... ~
