currently my car naked edi .. so maybe can take this opportunity to sound proofing/damping it also .. my car too damn noisy . engine sound too loud ..

anyone bought or done this thing before ? care to share ur opinion and prices ?

the bitumen strip from hardware shop can work

but u need to apply 2 layer

for engine noise sound, i use Dynamat extreme on the car's firewall..
works wonderfully

well.. at least i'm satisfied with it.. no complains. it works..
had my whole car done (roof, floor, doors, firewall)
but then car's a lil more heavy now.. that's the downside

last time i bought 1 whole box for RM600.. i think it's cheap that's why i got 2 boxes.. i don't think can get that price now..
also, i use Dynaliner on the floor pan thinking that it can reduce the cabin heat... didn't work that much.. that's why don't waste money on Dynaliner.. just get Dynamat will do

hmmm...i bought the soundproof mat frm acc shop...2.5meters 60bucks....i put on the engine bay..den slowly cut and place it on the firewall(engine part)...2layers but no improvement....hmmm..does bitumen strip works?....hw much will it be at hardware shop?

If you had heard of RAAMmat BXT60 and want to try it out, just drop me a PM, I'm selling RAAMmat(been a while since i've sold, a couple of the forumers can vouch for it) that's a pretty decent sound dampening material smile.gif

what mat did u use? who did the pasting for u?
