1. Ok. It all started when I was downloading NativeCn (chinese text language package) and it stopped suddenly. I tried again but a msg appeared "Package download failed". Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I tried to install other packages too but still unsuccessful. iPhone restart, refresh sources etc. troubleshooting steps doesn't help at all. Uninstalling and reinstalling source also doesn't work. What shall I do?

2. Does anyone know the location in the computer where the backup files of iphone are saved? I used iTunes to backup. I tried to search but couldn't find the backup files.

3. Does anyone know how to permanently disable EDGE from iphone? I was charged RM30 within 20mins of using "Maps" application. I had to get GPRS turned off from Maxis end. Is there any other alternative way so that I can still use GPRS for other applications?? Please suggest if any.

4. Does anyone know how to locate & use Hotlink's Easy Access application on iphone? I'm unable to find it. It may sound dumb but please help!!

Presently, I'm connected to Wireless router with streamyx broadband connection (1MB) & I can browse websites through Safari easily. 2G iPhone 1.1.4. Installer version is 3.11 and I don't have Cydia.

1. "Package download failed" appears due to several reasons; your wifi connection isn't working, you need to reboot your iphone first, the server is genuinely down.

2. please tell us why do you need the itunes backup for? if not, i do recommend that you shh (or use iphonebrowser) instead to backup your iphone.

Thanks for replying guys!! I managed to install NativeCn using OpenSSH and WinSCP. I haven't restarted the iphone yet. Am I suppose to choose any language or anything else before I restart iphone? Do I need to change any settings? I have just finished installing it.

1. On the iPhone, Install BSD Subsystem
2. Download package NativeCn 3.20
3. Use SSH / SCP (WinSCP) package to program the iPhone NativeCn.app copied to the / Applications /
4. With SSH / SCP (WinSCP) package to program the iPhone NativeCn copied to the / var / mobile / Library /
5. Using SSH (Putty) connected to the iPhone, type the following Command:

mkdir-p / usr / local / arm-apple-darwin / arm-apple-darwin / lib
ln-s / usr/lib/libgcc_s.1.dylib / usr / local / arm-apple-darwin / arm-apple-darwin / lib /
cd / Applications / NativeCn.app
chmod 4755 ncn

I finished till Step 3. What is this step 4 and how do I type command? I don't see any command prompt in WinSCP. Please help me in this.

Added on September 6, 2008, 9:11 pmI tried everything I can to install Native Cn in my iphone 1.1.4 but it simply doesn't work at all. Can anyone help me step by step on how to install NativeCn3.2 on iphone. I prefer to install using SSH & WinSCP from my pc. Please help me. I tried many links and replaced many files but still it doesn't work.

dunno if it's available on 1.1.4.
