It seems strange because everytime I play God Of War Chains of Olympus on my PSP,there is always a 3 second lag where the screen slows down and the game becomes choppy mostly during big area scenes.

Anyone have similar problem or its normal considering that the PSP might not have enough juice to run God Of War properly.

Dunno...doesn't happen to me. Probably that ur umd is no good perhaps? Is it a new one or used?

i got the same thing...
as if its loading before a huge fight... but doesnt really bother me..

does thing something to do with MSPD?

Err I am loading from the UMD not ahem ahem game.

You should try iso file because I use iso file one is very fast.

GOW usually clock the PSP to higher speed and shouldnt be lag. What firmware u using?

Don't recommend people playing ISO file... Which will hang somewhere else...
Better play with UMD..
By the way, that might be your psp problem or the UMD itself..

Since TS already own the disc, he can create the iso file himself from the disc, no piracy issue here. I finish GOW already, the game can complete, won't hang somewhere else. Using latest firmware 4.01M33-2.

the game wont hang (should) but lag is inevitable.. increase ur psp's system speed will decrease the lag..

Using a phat? Maybe the UMD cache on the Slim helps.

Its a PSP Slim with 3.90 M33-3 custom firmware.All clock speed are stock.

I went into the menu and there is an option to overclock the PSP processor speed but I don't think I wanna do that.Scared it might damage it

Maybe you could try upgrading to latest firmware?
btw has anyone encountered any problems with 4.01 firmware?
Keen to upgrade as well...but seems like some dealers tell me its kinda unstable...
I've been trawlling the Net and LYN forum...not many mentions of instability...

my god of war lags too.
when my character is walking about, the MS lights keeps flashing like mad.
then you can see that the game is in slow motion.

no i never try before lag ... but my problem is how to kill the ferryman(bos) . I have try many ways adi block etc .. etc.. since u guys r playing god of wars need some help here . Cheers mate !!

only sometimes it lag..sometimes it annoying.

Mine lags when it needs to load for some huge fight or movie scene. The MSPD keeps blinking and it keeps lagging at the sceen. After loading, the game goes back to normal. Doesn't really bother me much.

Then you should have a look in youtube.A good fellow made a nice video on how he defeat the ferryman without a single damage.He make the fight look sissy.
