It's a new unit la. I buy in Digital Mall cos dont want to wait for dell to deliver. At least i can check the unit and make sure everything is ok. If dell sent, got problem...very troublesome later. I check April PC Fair price (flyers) for XPS 16 is RM4199 as the spec above.

o~ Devil may Cry 4 i set full high setting ... the whole unit lagging while fighting with BOSS or in a high resolution place ~
even performance test also black screen ...
May be my GC have problem ...

Try ask for for .... 4 gb ram ... dnt put 3gb ram bcoz dual channel need both side equal ...
i think they still earn you RM 200 or more ... bcoz they get RM 500 cash redemption ... and more discount when get more ~

swt la ~ my unit dnt hv Dolby 51 channel ... after reload whole OS ... facial detection lost as well !!

There is no Rm500 rebate la. Only applicable to XPS 1530. Dell changes their offer everyweek. If you want to wait to get the best deal...u wont be getting anything at all cos u dont know when they are offering the best.

damn worth !! but ur unit is experiment unit (refurbish unit). I think the price can drop to 4k or 3.5k. If still can upgrade warranty than it's good !

bcoz i brought 5.2k ... it's damn worth for me ... my unit change motherboard, plamrest, LCD panel, Tv tuner ... (consider 2 replacement unit )

I ald get 3 red repair form from Dell. 2 from previous Studio.

I found out that Dell SXPS 16 facing the same trend as XPS 13 that is GC faulty !!!
Just now i play Devil May cry 4 chapter 07 human.
While i fighting with boss ~ It's black screen again. I saw icon show 'display stop running, but it had recover',
wait i solve my notebook problem, I get a screen shot and post at here. (my OS unable to copay and past T.T)

I remember these word same as XPS 13 b4 the driver overheat !! Display driver stop running... then the GC bye bye ...
I think those ppl uisng XPS they know what i'm said. Swt ... later my unit will showing Blue screen ~.~'''

Black screen ----> display driver stop running -----> then blue screen ----> GC overheat ----> Dell come to change the whole motherboard -----> Dell Declare GC faulty !!!

no wander my notebook temperature quit hot this few day after repairing .... I install the bios temperature drop to 44 ++ then now normal temperature is 55++
then suddenly up to 60++ even i didnt play game just open music and study with my unit. (using cooler all the time)

i have problem on the webcam when i updated the driver with the suggested one at windows update, then i install the original driver back and everything's fine.

the only complaint i have is the sound reproduction sounded a bit 'bassy' even after adjusting the equaliser n all, relative to my good ol nforce2 soundcard (whatever that is). both tested on edifier R351. my unit come with only ADT not x-fi.

can you check ur audio device and get a screen shot and post at here. ADT ?? it's IDT ?? you better follow up with Dell technician support !

any one can post their Digital sound device at here ?? Dell didnt believe there had 5.1 channel Dolby & said if it exsit it's not compatible !!
inside dell website ---> design ----> cinematic sound shown had 5.1 dolby !!!

Bought it outside of malaysia coz currently studying abroad. It was either this or HDX 16, but the HDX 16 with the same specs is way more expensive. Had the chance to play both before buying coz a friend already own a HDX 16.(1 fren also own the HDX dragon,a 20" monster, he lugs that to class LOL).Plus, Dell's Screen is much WAYYYYYYY NICE. The real Beauty. Took a while to save up money lol. Tried to avoid nVidia dis time coz had VERY VERY STUPID GC problem with my S41. Makes me hate nVidia kaw kaw...........

Really loving it rite now.
