My SXPS 16 arrived today!

But how do I check whether dell gave me the right optical drive or not?
My specs includes the blu-ray ROM

The current driver name is "HL - DT - ST DVDRWBD CA10N ATA Device"

i think Japan spec Dell will have better QC
i heard that it will take longer (2 to 4 weeks) to get yr system
so yr laptop "Made In China"?

yea,made in china. it takes 2 weeks or more cos of international shipping. QC shouldnt be tht much diff. but so far its quite good. froze twice on me but got no wobbly feet and not as hot as i imagined.

well for Malaysia spec, i can say almost no QC!!
what i mean is the laptop cosmestic.
some loose parts, some scratches

if i were really strict bought it, theres a slight mark on the display, just outside the lcd area. but im not too fussy bt tht as long as its not too glaring.

oh really? i expect Dell Japan QC to be a bit better

izzit just me because weather getting cooler here in oversea or the new bios actually improve the overheating problem? not that it's cool now but at least the touchpad is not as hot comparing last time in normal usage.
