its not that i dont wanna to try carbon fiber.. but the carbon fiber matt is hard to find..

hav to use digital matrix weight machine to the mixture ratio..
but will find some ways to find those.. hehehe.. any informer? hehe
R3 product for bodykit u want original izzit? rthreeparts.com oso got sell..
but like zen said.. better wait for promo.. price sure good.. or not just go for PU R3 kits.. mudah, zth got few ppl selling or rockmotorsport.com
can get full set for 580++ - 700++..
BTW zen.. got any news on R3 having promo or anything?
*
as i remember last time when i visit my friend factory that doing carbon fiber, i saw them cut the soft carbon (in roll) into pieces then place the fiber mat in between then sent it to huge oven for baking, temperature and how long i forgot d. Off cource mould is needed.

temporary i did not saw any promotion of R3, usually promotion during Merdeka, Hari Raya and special event. Hopefully got promotion for Chinese New Year hehe

I ask the seller abt this, then he said R3 division is now concentrating on making R3 parts for Persona, Saga BLM and Neo. For what reasons R3 stops for Waja, Gen2 and others he could not answer it...

guys..... should i go for brake lining / skimming? the squeaking / rattling sound is kinda annoying even under normal braking  sweat.gif
*
check your brake pad 1st. For waja, when the brake pad is thin, the disc rotor tends to vibrate.

thanks zenwarlord. but will it caused the squeaking sound / rattling while braking / foot off the brake pedal?  hmm.gif
i noticed my front rim is getting dirty caused by the brake activities too.  sweat.gif
*
squeking sound could be many factor, it can be the brake pad, missing of caliper pins as well as the scratches on disc rotor. Usually changing new pad need to do proper baking to avoid the squeking noise. While for the rattling noise can be due to warpped disc rotor or thin (almost finish) brake pad. I dun know how much they charge for the skimming, but the new disc rotor is RM160/pair (outside sparepart shop). You can confirm with PESC & EON for original price.

QUOTE(Gurdian @ Jan 5 2009, 02:45 PM)
guys any suggestions on where i can send my 2001 waja for major servicing?

alotta things to fix:
power windows,
brakes,
engine service,
door handle,
maybe suspension too.
as usual, budget is tight, so i'd like some decent prices?

hopefully som1 can recommend, cheers
*
power windows, get the metal type and never change to plastic type. I'm not sure metal power windows is available for rear.

Brake? i guess u r referring to brake pad? If standard brake pad then cost not more RM160. There is a guy name emkay 0123830229 he selling Trestor Advantage front+rear RM160.

Engine service? you mean just change the engine oil? If yes, then u can get any engine oil at spare part shop then ask foremen to change it for u.

door handle u can try accessories shop, usually those with color is about RM30~50, some even can only change the handle only and that is more cheaper.

suspension, you need what brand? Get normal GAB RM500+ (include installation) or KYB or APM standard absober is about RM400+

Where is your location?

Wiper pump? u referring to the water tank right? If yes then get it from spare part shop it's about RM40+, meanwhile for wiper try to source for silicon type it last for years then those rubber type.

how much he's selling? if cheap then worth to consider, what you need to do is just do some sanding and respray it.

I'm holding on the purchase as I've decided to give it a try to DIY first.
So any guidelines?

Sanding first or spraying first? Any particular spray?
*
do sanding 1st to avoid paint feel off from the smooth surface easily. But it will be kept behind the glass so without sanding still ok. If u wanna do the sanding, then get the finest sand paper (i think 1500 is the finest).

Meanwhile for spray, get those sell in hardware shop "high temp spray" and i guess is about RM16/can. It's flat black in color, not sure whether is there any glossy black high temp spray available now. As rules of thumb, let each layer of spray dry in 10mins before proceed with anohther. And don't spray too thick for each layer or u'll end up with dipping. 3 layers should be nice enough.

Then u need to get the a reel silicon glue (use for windscreen) from spare part shop for sealant purpose.

Prepare the hair dryer, masking tape, sand paper (optional), old newspaper. U need to heat up the silicon glue area to soften the sealant then pull it apart slowly (like opening durian), carefull with the silicon glue and avoid it drop on the area u wanna spray.
