Can Tell Me Whether DS Or Lite Is Better And Why? I Dunno Which To Buy.

This is a moot discussion.
You would be hard pressed to find a normal DS in the market in this day and age.

Assuming you did find one, its only redeeming feature over the lite is that it is more resilient to case damage compared to the DS Lite.

Get the Lite, it's a little like comparing GBA to GBA SP.

Lite's design is superior compared to the bulkier DS.
And plus, the Lite has a backlight which makes it MUCH more suitable for what it's made for - hand-held gaming (whenever, wherever)

But if u like the phat one and it's at a cheaper price...they buy it as a last resort. But if u can, buy the lite one.

The only reason i might choose the phat over the phat might be because of the size. The lite is way to "lite" for my hands. I have rather big hands.

I give you a choice, do you want Old fat DS or New DS Lite? Choose one.

Thus far i count only 1 question. and many concurring answers. Why so much hostility? When people don't know, they don't know. Even for straightforward answers.

Considering that the "Classic" DS' on the market would potentially costs the same or more than the Lite for a new unit, even money is not a factor in favour for then.

for me, just go for the Lite. Brighter screen and the battery life is longer. I nvr regret a bit when i got one of those lite.

dude, dunno whats your deal but I was asking because if you know the PS2, they had the fat and slim, I heard the slim overheats fast limiting the time you can play compared to the fat. Something to do with the fan or something. Thats why if they downsized it maybe they took away some stuff or made it smaller.

If the phat one is cheaper by Rm100, I think you'd go well with that. else better for a lite. It's a more simpler thing for me that the phat one.

Whatever the case, you now have your answer. Pretty much everyone is telling you to get a Lite. Even the people that own the older, more tank-like DS (ME).
You don't need to justify your question. Or pick fight with people trying to get a rise outta you.

Lite is famous for it's hinge problem especially the white unit. Other than that the lite is better in terms of screen brightness, weight, size, look and etc.

go for ds lite. i owned a crimson ds lite. simple and easy.

The cracked hinge problems only apply to the first few batches of DS Lites, which mostly were the white models.

I would say, go for the Lite. Longer gametime, adjustable brightness, slim design, there's no doubt that the Lite is better.

i think question has already been answered. 15+ posts and support for the DSLite is pretty solid.
