Hi all,

I got a problem here i wanna install my sub kicker solobaric L5 and i have 2 units of it.It is dual 4ohm and its 600 rms each.

The amp i have is also kicker model KX600.1.I know the amp is stable at 2ohm and runs 600rms on it.

Is it possible to do it on 1 ohm?
Is it stable and what is the side effect of it?
How to i know how much ohm the installer wire it down?
Any forumers try doing this before or has the same spec as me?
1 of the pic there writen max power output is 730 watts, what this mean?

Hope u all can help me cause im really lost...thanks in advance.

1. parallel connect your woofer 4ohm to become 2ohm, then again parallel the output of both woofer to become 1ohm

2. if your amp can accept 1ohm..then no side effect. if not the amp will kick protection

Open and check means for the wiring rite??how to know if its 2ohm or 4 ohm?

Go to googles and check the spec of your amp.
I don't think your amp is stable down to 1 ohm.

Actually i already checked all the infos i get is 300rms at 4ohm than 600rms at 2ohm none of it got write 1ohm...so is it possible to do so without any trouble and stable??

dun try going down to 1ohm la.... ur amp is so so nia... 1 ohm might even fried ur amp if ventilation or other precaution is not taken. The choice is urs.

Unless you're goin for any sound-challenge competition, not many ppl go below 2ohm for everyday use you may 'Panggang' your amp sooner than later with 1ohm prolong use.

Ic thanks for the info but if i add a 3.0 farad capasitor will this help?

There is no relationship between the capacitor and the amp impedence.
So adding a capacitor will not help at all.

adding a cap will onli give u more stable power supply, but ur workload on the amp is still the same. so, it's still bad for ur amp. BTW, i'm from KK too, mind to get out and audit each other's car? can PM me anytime, Merdeka Parade.

dun worry bro., slowly when u get ur budget can slowly improve ur system. I started ICE long time ago. Upgrade slowly and i still haven't finish uppgrading. KK very hard to get good stuffs. I get my stuffs oversea. Creator sound in Penampang Baru got some mid end and hi end equipments, but their price are 'massive'. Or u can buy from other forummer oso can. too bad we can onli meet next year cos i'm going to study in oversea liao. haha... but i dun mind to make some friends around here.
