Many of you are looking for version 2.0.2 for your Iphone upgrade currently I know but can't find the unlock and jailbreak after flash to the new version. But luckily, i found this on how to upgrade to version 2.0.2 from this website. Want to share to all of you. biggrin.gif

iClarified

Download the Custom-iPhone1,1_2.0.1_5B108_Restore.ipsw and iPhone1,1_2.0.2_5C1_Restore. You will need it for restore and jailbrake later.

I currently run with this new firmware and run fine for me. Happy trying...

Hi Guys.Would like to ask a question.

I am on 2.0.1 and got there using a custom restore image downloaded off a torrent. No issues so far except for apps crashing once in a while but that's ok.However previously i got to 2.0 using Winpwn meaning my 2g iphone is j/a/u and pwned.I got loads of apps(7 pages free and cracked.ipa's) loaded in via itunes .

If i update to 2.0.2 via itunes will i
1.continue to be a/j/u?
2.Will i loose all my apps?(i know i will looses cydia and installer)
3.Will i loose apps downloaded via cydia and installer

Please advice

Appreciate it

Unlock n jailbreaking are 2 different thing. Right now, there are no know software method can be use to unlock iPhone 3G. There's only the sim bypassing/piggyback method that can be use to "unlock" the phone by tricking the phone baseband to see thats the sim is a legit one.

Jailbreaking on the other hand is a process to open up the system so users can access the protected space.

Right now people are buying iPhone 3G thats officially are unlock such as from NZ, Australis, Singapore and Hong Kong. US phones are locked to AT&T.

Added on September 2, 2008, 3:50 pmTo answer your Q, NO ... quickpwn cannot unlock your 3G iPhone. It can only jailbreak it. Its not the same with 1st gen iPhone where it can be unlock and jailbreak with quickpwn.
