this DFI LanParty DK P45 T2R-S Plus is what i'm looking for, see the gap between DIMM slot and PCIe, damn... it's way much better than previous one... mellow.gif

I couldn't agree more. Too bad, replacing the southbridge with any aftermarket cooler would means trouble on dual slot GCs. Still not perfect yet. Now patiently awaiting the UT series brows.gif drool.gif

-pWs- : Still ok la since its the stock cooler, won't expect it to outperform any of those aftermarket ones.

emilz: for the nb and sb, surely can use those noctua and thermalright, deepcool, zalman, evercool, coolermaster, thermaltake and any other brands, as long as it doesn't obstruct the graphic card that u r potentially gonna use with. But for me, I see that the SB will b hard to choose a good cooler, unless u don't use those dual slots reference cards like 4870 coz kinda hard to fit any kind of cooler on it. As for the mosfet, will need to check on the length 1st with the sizes shown on the TR webby to confirm which is suitable to use with. Will update here with more info later.

lloyd1030: here's a simple guide on DFI range: Best board among the same chipset is the Lanparty UT version, mid range is the LanParty LT while the LanParty DK is more for budget range. These 3 r the full ATX boards. While the Lanparty JR is more for the M-ATX options, suitable for SFF casings. So, if u need help in moving into Intel platform, can ask around here, or PM me to discuss further. Free consultation available. haha
But, do note that despite the Lanparty DK being the budget range, it still performs nearly as good as the LT and UT versions, just doesn't comes with the bells and whistles.

-pWs-: Well bro, for ur proc, near to 3.4 or 3.5 oledi very good for a quad core. thumbup.gif I do agree that the temp won't be much of a concern, but its more of enjoying the oc and hitting high speeds without sacrificing stability. DFI are good for stability too.

lloyd1030: Hi, for ur budget, u can consider the DFI LanParty DK P45-T2RS-Plus with the E7200 processors. Just for OC, benchmark and gaming, these 2 combo are quite good oledi. I would suggest u to go for the E8400 if u can up ur budget, then u'll surely enjoy ur oc more. U'll also need to remember to get a good CPU cooler along coz the heat generate will be significant when u oc to high speed.

-pWs- : Nice results bro drool.gif For air cooling this is quite a feat. If u had higher multiplier, surely easier to break the barrier. brows.gif

kujaboyde & xtremecooler : off topic abit, interested in D9GMH ? brows.gif Consider this

xtremecooler: Sorry bro, this thread is for oc, later mods give warning. PM me if u r interested.

-pWs-: U dun need this la bro. Ur Anny are similarly good, probably even better since its handpicked. hahaha

emilz: On the way bro. On the way. haha, will update u once i've sent out the board.

kujaboyde: Do check with ur seller on the age of ur ram. If its manufactured this year, very likely (touchwood), might not give u high ram speeds coz i've heard quite a few of my customers complaining about the performance of the new rams. If u check my oc in this thread under Post #3, u can see that i'm using the ballistix tracer too. These r last year's batch and they only require 2.1V to reach 1000MHz with 5-5-5-15 timings. On my new A-data rams, 2.0V to reach 1000MHz with 5-5-5-15 timings. Not yet fine tune it, but mayb later during weekends.

cheers mate... that normal lar for them to keep some for stupid reason...

if i were u also i wanna stab ppl liao hehe
*
Actually the reason they r keeping it is to reap a bigger profit soon. USD exchange rate is hiking. So, proc price will go up following USD rates. That way, when the new unit price is higher, they get better margin lo.

hmmm i been thinking bro... but atleast i gonno do tat tomorow cause i mc tomorow then got time to play d wif oc hehe

then only will change proc lolz brows.gif
*
Nonit to think oledi bro. Whack ur proc into the board, and start to oc. 400 x 8 oledi nice. 450 x 8 even better. 500 x8 is heaven oledi. anything higher, OMG lo. hahaha

Try to oc with the new board 1st bro. C if its easy to reach high fsb or not compare to the previous P965 Dark, then later when u put in some 45nm, then u'll know which proc is better.

icon_rolleyes.gif

BTW, guys who wants to aim for the UT version of the P45, due to marketing strategy, distri are forcing the price to be below RM 1000. good news for all those who are aiming for this board. Coming soon is all i can say for now.

*Edit: double posted.Sorry sweat.gif

-pWs-: Bro, wats the vcore u putting in ? If temp in idle below 50C, can consider to up to 1.5V coz still got some vdroop.

best option Thermalright HR03 GT, but value for money, look for clawhammer, ask him his akasa can be used or not on ur GC.

tkh_1001: Nice proc u have there. Too bad nowadays 9450 no more in production.

emilz: I sense major overhaul and upgrade coming up ? hmm.gif Better u aim for the Q9550 E0, then with custom WC on ur TJ09 or maybe ur future "casing" ? haha. THen when got LP, bring it along, let us cc lo.

1) yes it is the latest v8.8 driver
2) what is EIST & C1E????
3) Alright on the pi, TQ
*
1. No comments yet.

2. EIST and C1E is the feature in the bios that u need to disable to avoid ur processor from running at a lower multiplier automatically.

3. Ur super pi is quite regular of a Quaddies, push a little bit more, u can get a much better results.

why it's so hard to oc dis proc using MSI p45 mobo? i've try it & just can reach 3.6ghz... sweat.gif
*
If i'm not mistaken ur MSI Neo3 is not suitable for high clock oc, mayb the diamond version can do 4ghz. Fully depends on ur proc too. Rams won't affected it too much, coz the fsb is not too high.
