LG just officially announced to us the successor of the Viewty, the KC910.

It is an all-in-one multimedia phone,

sporting 8-megapixel camera,

Dolby sound for music,

and DivX and XviD support for video playback.

At 14mm thickness, LG announces the KC910 as the slimmest 8MP phone on the market.

It has Xenon flash,

Schneider-Kreuznach lens,

ISO up to 1600 and can capture video in VGA resolution at 30fps and in QVGA at up to 120fps for slow motion effect.

Thanks to a built-in GPS, the photos can be geo tagged with the coordinates of the place they are taken at.

Other camera features include option for manual focus, face, smile and blink detection and digital image stabilizer.

The KC910 is a quad-band GSM with support for HSDPA 7.2 Mbps,

has Bluetooth 2.0,

Wi-Fi,

microSD slot for up to 8GB of memory,

3-inch WQVGA 240x400 touch display and

TV-out for watching images or videos on larger screen.


There is no information if it will run on the same interface as the Viewty and the KF700, or on a new one. LG says that it will come to the market in October of this year.

if its pics quality can rival INNOV8 then this Kc910 can be a serious contender.

LG known to be shorter battery life..

i tot those fone makers signed a contract that no fone above 10mpx.... (4got the source though)
lg seem to spice up the 8mpx race.... comes with wifi n xenon summore

anyway, we would have to c lg UI 1st...
Wats the point if they have cool cam with crappy n laggy UI (no offense to lg fans)

if u really wanna compare the function and stuff...i think Viewty is good enough to compare with others..

IF for ONCE..users DONT THINK about resale value...u think LG market wont grow in msia?

Oh my, if battery life will not be an issue and the camera is real good, this thing would be a killer. Who needs an iPhone after all? But I guess I would have to wait like 2 years after this thing is launched before the price is even acceptable (to me).

Photo quality is in doubt. Not sure can beat the old dusty I-Mobile 902

INNOV8 i think already can beat the i-mobile 902

Lol with the recent Omnia price also i cant afford. I think wait a few years that time also another type come out then wait again. The waiting game

Kinda reminds u of the OMNIA doesnt it......design wise?

i hope it's powered by symbian or WM, then we can do more things about this phone....the reason i don want to get Viewty is because of the OS
