Just curious, but how far will a X3350 quad go on P35? Mine's running at a pretty safe 3.2GHz, just wondering how much more can it go.

Pushing my X3350 C1 on a EP35-DS3.
410FSB, 1.23125V, stable 425FSB, 1.3125V, +0.2V FSB, +0.2V MCH, +0.1V PCI-E. It's crazy, board can boot at 1.25V +0.1V FSB, but took so much extra to make it actually stable. This post has been edited by yimingwuzere: Apr 15 2009, 09:18 PM |

QUOTE(blu3skyr4in @ Apr 29 2009, 12:52 PM) argh~~my Q9450 only reach 3.2ghz wit 400x8 fsb~~ Most likely the chipset. P35-DS3L also has same issue.i try to go higher only reach 419x8~420x8 the pc no boot== me using EP43-UD3L and XMS2 2x2gb 800mhz any1 can tell me?is tat P43 chipset limit edi? My EP35-DS3 and X3350 can hit 425*8, but the power usage is crazy, +0.2 MCH, +0.2FSB, 1.3Vcore. Could go higher but absolutely not worth it. I managed 8*400 on my X3350 C1 using 1.2V vcore (default 1.1875V) and everything else at normal voltages, using a UD3R. Even on a EP35-DS3 I only needed 1.225V vcore, rest all normal. I think you just need higher vcore only.

QUOTE(Kriss @ Aug 30 2009, 04:17 PM) Anyone here using DFI P35 Blood iron . . ? vcore is too high.My Q9450 cant get above 440 FSB . Vcore - 1.55 VTT - 1.36 VPLL - 1.55 Vsb - 1.95 Vnb - 1.46 Vclockgen( Wth is this ? ) - 3.55 default. All GTL at 0.67x I get tips from other forum to up my VTT and VNB if i want to get higher clock . But why my board got Vclockgen and Vsb ? What value is optimum ? I think it's a P35 limitation. Most P35 boards have a FSB wall of 450 for quads. |
