I think should have no issue with abit 35.
u'd most probably hit 3.2ghz at 1.15v... (or less volts, hopefully ur bios can undervolt)

QUOTE(Cyclone87 @ Aug 24 2008, 08:40 PM) Is intelburntest really that accurate? I pass 40 loops at 450FSB on 1.20 vcore. But then after the intel test, i open my IE, my computer just freeze out . Even super PI fail . But i can pass the test. wa...40 loop so much ka?better not be over stress till *touchwood* *touchwood* i tried on 5 loops config only.... but it can only pass 2 loops when i already tested my proc to pass prime95 small fft for 7hours |

first of all, Q9300 VID is higher than X3320, that's why it require lower voltage to OC, at least at lower speed.
for my board, i didnt touch my vFSB and vMCH, only slight bump in vCore. FSB max around 450. any higher require VTT/GTL/etc which is not available on my P35 board |

Hmmm with board that capable to adjust the VTT/GTL how far more then can push the fsb? I was thinking to change to DFI P35 Iron because it has that features in the bios .

QUOTE(Cyclone87 @ Aug 27 2008, 08:48 AM) Change the board so we can break the FSB barrier. I got problem looking at my Cpu speed below 3.4ghz. My target is close to 4.0ghz actually. Disappointed when got touch my processor. ok...but if my mobo got that func, what specific things dat i need to change?? |

Hi all, noobs here...
my current config on X3320 on p45-ds3 mobo & DDR2 6400 ram @3GHZ (400x7.5) 20 tests passed with flying colours. ![]() @3.375 (450x7.5) 5 tests passed. ![]() but, 20 tests failed. all the norm value not equal. ![]() seems to hit fsb wall on 450MHz. anyone has any suggestion to get higher? i'll be very happy if it can stable & tested on IBT @ 3.5GHz. |

Btw, nice result you have there. Mind to share your setting? -pWs- |

yup, correct. i also shocked when saw it the first time. lol
hopefully just misread & not defect or something. @-pWs-: i use default/auto setting for all except the FSB. dont have time to tweak more. just build this rig last night & straight away OC. will try to tweak the vcore & ram timing for higher result. but kinda scared as now the temp is already passed 70C for 20 tests. hopefully can get "rock solid heart touching" stable at 3.5GHz. Read from other sources, the wall for my mobo is 460-470 MHz, proc is 460-480 MHz & RAM up until 500 MHz. if can get stable around 460 then 3.5 GHz, baby! |
