QUOTE(stringfellow @ Aug 22 2008, 11:55 PM)
.....He then resorted to both RE-ACTIVATING the THREADS that are intended to call him out, to make it look like I'm spamming. After that episode, it WAS I who cleaned up the thread, not HIM. I felt responsible for messing up the forum, yet it was his actions that REACTIVATED the threads back again. I had to manually go into these threads, and moderate them CLOSE......

the fact is you were spamming. when the moderating crew decides to invisible the thread and you keep making a new one, clearly you're going against the decision of authority.

you already have a mind of your own that THE THREAD MUST EXIST when fact is that there is already a Main Site/Forum Feedback and Helpdesk section available.

so from what i see

1. you went against moderating crew decision
2. you were adamant at creating the thread
3. you were adamant at creating the thread at the wrong place

and another thing - who exactly was the moderator that took action on the thread? are you sure it's done by ianho?

which comes to point 4. do you have proof that it was ianho?

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Aug 22 2008, 11:55 PM)
......The point I'm making is, Ianho did not bear any responsibility towards his actions, of constantly deleting my posts, resulting in me calling him out using a posted THREAD. He then proceed to also delete the THREAD intended to call him out, which I in turn, try to repost back. After he was tired of it, he REACTIVATED the DELETED thread to make it look like I am spamming. All this are his smokescreen to make himself look innocent and spilling the guilty trip on me. He has yet to come to answer for his acts on this.....

you WERE spamming. not only that, you WERE going against moderating crew decision.

ianho has not spoken so far, but from what i see - you are the one painting all sorts of picture at the moment.

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Aug 22 2008, 11:55 PM)
My actual intention of posting that thread is to call him out on his acts, but instead he carries on and deletes the thread as well. Push comes to shove, and Newton's law dictates "Every actions, there is an opposite and equal reaction", I pushed back. My whole intention was to get him to explain why my post AND my attempt to call him out, by posting a THREAD, was ignored by him, and yet ke hept deleting every single post I tried to make to get him to explain his actions.

dude, what do you think this place is? a bar? call people out? WTH!?!?!? who are you that you think you have the given rights to create a thread that's totally off topic to CALL HIM OUT?

for a person like you, i was expecting a more civilized approach, something that could be done in tasteful, proper and respectful manner. opening a thread at the wrong place to call the person out and this and that just isn't the way, like gangster style go yell outside someone's house to bring attention when a phone call would be good.

if explanation was what you are seeking, then a simple PM to him asking "excuse me ianho, may I know why..........." would suffice - simple, sweet and polite. you could've discussed with him via PM, or approach the moderator of the section or someone of higher authority to highlight your dissatisfaction but noooooo, you had to do what you did.

and you got the cheek to claim "push comes to shove" when actually you're the one doing all the pushing and shoving. you were clearly against forum R&R and it is clear that your transgressions are many but when the moderator was just doing his / her job.

currently there's no proof or record on who did the invisible, but whoever that moderator was - while he / she could've shifted the thread to the appropraite section, deleting the threads weren't wrong either.

QUOTE(malaysianPotato @ Aug 23 2008, 12:20 AM)
eta: Oh yay, goldy's here. Baton pass!

aiyah no need baton pass.

actually i'm aware of this like 6 hrs back, just that the things look so crazy (and stupid) I just decide to let it ride for a while.

from what i see, (as i mentioned earlier)

i see at least 3 counts of offense from stringfellow, and 1 count of accusation with no proof or at least I've yet to see any proof that is concrete enough to point that ianho was the one involved and that the person (whoever he / she was) was abusing power.

count of offense from whoever that moderator? ehhh i see a moderator doing his / her job invisibling a post that's not supposed to be there. stringfellow probably not clever enough or too caught up with his agenda to realize that it's at the wrong section and there's already a dedicated section for complaints. laugh.gif

why did all the threads appear again? looks to me like stringfellow is so persistent, the moderator decide to let it be and give stringfellow what he wanted............

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Aug 23 2008, 12:27 AM)
As for proof, we all as a common member are all deprived of any proof done by the moderators here. There are no transparencies, and all acts are done "to whatever discretion" that person in power holds, and what's more, WE DONT KNOW who did it because there arent any breadcrumbs to follow. There is no post like "I am deleting this because......" from the deleting person of power, the pleasantries works both way.

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Aug 23 2008, 12:27 AM)
True, no proof WHO did it, and I suspect nobody will come forward and admit that he did it. The "lack of proof" mantra has been the cornerstone of the "invincibility cloak" many have used throughout the ages to disprove their misdeeds and kept their grip on power. Nothing new here.

this is good enough to say that you spent the past 6 hours falsely accusing ianho, or at least accusing him without sufficient evidence...... and all this for your own wrong-doing.

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Aug 23 2008, 12:27 AM)
Also, if I am out of my way on this, shouldnt someone of higher wisdom and patience like the esteemed moderating team here point it out? Instead of moderating and disappear? That person TOO could have just come out and explain what he or she is doing so that all things can be sorted out. The procedures you moderators go through are not made known here (obviously for good reasons), but when things are bound to get ugly like this, a simple PM could have saved the day.

you're in the forum long enough to know that threads opened at inapproriate places can be deleted / moved. whichever the moderator deem fit.

you could've approach any of the moderator to seek clarification but you didn't.

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Aug 23 2008, 12:27 AM)

it's funny that you're the one saying this, a simple PM from YOU could've spared yourself from looking silly right now.

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Aug 23 2008, 12:27 AM)
And it would not have been degrading if the moderating person to PM a common folk like me, in fact I'd welcome it rather than proceed to make things uglier. Agreed?

they can but they're not required to do so.

you're in the forum long enough to know that threads opened at inapproriate places can be deleted / moved. whichever the moderator deem fit.

are you expecting King's treatment?

as if the thread went missing wasn't a good enough indicator?

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Aug 23 2008, 12:27 AM)
As I have expected, the resolution is this. I am, still apparently in the wrong. Do as you wish, I believe I have been civil and appropriate until I was pushed into the corner with this debacle. If I have not, then I have my reasons.

actually you could've safeguard yourself if you had the common sense to lodge a complaint while following forum R&R.

you just choose not to.

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Aug 23 2008, 12:32 AM)
Moral of the story: Never cross a moderator, instead, just agree with him. It will save you a lot of your troubles, even if you know it was not fair to begin with. I dont have to point out that there are others who share the same sentiment with me.

you're making it look as if you're in this predicament because you crossed a mod.

seriously, look at the # of offenses you made.

action was taken because you done something inappropriate, that's all. you're making it look as if we've amputated your leg without informing you.

QUOTE(davidgary73 @ Aug 23 2008, 12:35 AM)
You mods or staff or whatever u call yourself are incredible..really..amazing. I'm so totally amazed how you guys handle things..

Impressive...most IMPRESSIVE.

i think that was in reference to the spam of threads created today.

as for the posts, donno - have to check first. anyway accusations without proof is not good.

anyone who has any form of dissatisfaction on moderation taken, they could always highlight the matter and express the reasons of their dissatisfaction.

simple as that.

kindly refrain from posting unconstructive stuff like this.

the next guy i spot posting any content that is NOT in anyway helpful to the thread will get 10% warn and 5 day suspension.

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Aug 23 2008, 12:53 AM)
Please check it and I'd like an answer to that, please.

I'd like an answer as to why that post was constantly deleted, resulting in me having to post a THREAD and called spamming.

ahhh no, constant deletion of post is not related to you spamming threads at wrong section.

next time - use the already available means for proper attention to your complaint.
