I believe this whole personal feud between ianho & string started off with a post ianho made, which is included in my post hidden in the spoiler below:




Stringfellow, you aren't being a very good example either. His childish acts? Yes, indeed they were childish. But your acts are equally as childish. There's been many more instances where you picked on newbies. The respect you've gained by doing noble things such as the tumpang thread has lead you to act like a condescending alpha-male in the iPhone section. You are one of the major flamers in there, and the others are starting to follow suit as well.

I do hope that here I am, JUST ANOTHER USER, putting you in your place by making you realize what you've been doing, would make you stop your chiding.

I've been trying not to tussle words with you because of our past liasons, but there are certain things you need to know.

I'm sorry but we are not PAID like those Apple Geniuses. We are doing this for free, and frankly, it has come to a level where it is testing most of our sanity. Choose not to answer them? More will come and post the exact same questions, only with different wording.

If im paid to answer these questions and more, you can spit questions in my face and I'll still put on a smile. The reality is with the iPhone section, is that they expect answers to their questions as if WE are paid to do this. Choosing to ignore it only invite more of these questions.

You may be able to ignore and let it be, perhaps because I dont see you in the iPhone section and that may be your mode of ignoring these NOOBS and their incessant questionings. But those of us who are making the iPhone section of this forum as our second home, these bombardment of questions are like eyesores. If you leave them unanswered, someone else who have no clue whatsoever about the issue with have their go at it and point the clueless NOOBS the wrong way ,and complicating things further. In the end, the same NOOB will come in with more whinings and more problems with their iPhones, suffocating the forum further. Ignore them more, you say? Until at which stage would you come and answer the hapless buggers before they brick their iPhones to kingdom come? You will have to, at one stage answer these NOOBS, and as much as WE like to ignore these NOOBS and let them have at it, WE hate it further to see them squander their iPhones to a point of no return.

So, before you point your finger at me, have a look at the forum, and stay and have a feel at how things go in this forum. You have a higher tolerance towards ignoring them, but I dont. I dont like people spreading misinformation, I dont like people going about things like a headless chicken, and I dont certainly dont like people who are irresponsible with their purchases. These NOOBS certainly fits that category.

The Apple Byte section are more organized and well-informed because you dont have to deal with these clueless NOOBS. Even if you do, the FREQUENCY of these questions coming at you on Apple Byte, are not as frequent as what WE have to handle here in the iPhone section. It is like there is 10 iPhone NOOBS born every minute, and we have to handle their bibs, napkins and diapers when they burp, spit, vomit and defecate their way around the iPhone section.

Again, your tolerance level to ignoring those people are not the same as others. Do not think that you can say "I can do it, why cant you", God made us different, and made us with that different tolerance level as well. Some of us can just let things slide, "Lantak ko ko lah, ko nak jahanamkan iPhone ko , doesnt botter me" attitude comes naturally to them, while others cannot even stnd people making a mistake when it comes to delicate things like unlocking their iPhones, because little things like this may result in a devastated iPhone.

We are NOT PAID like the Apple Geniuses to treat these NOOBS with gleaming white teeth smile, we are only human. And as fellow humans, these NOOBS should understand why the impatience level in the iPhone section is high, and at the very least, as a common courtesy to their fellow man here, go about their way finding out the answers here first before posting questions that had been answered.

What may have been seen as picking on NOOBS here by you are simply the result of countless questions been posted before that NOOB was put into his place, because of the stress level in the iPhone section because of their incessant questions and expectant of mouthfeeding. Try and look into it from a different angle, from the point of those who had to suffer these oncoming barrage of questions before you make your convenient assumptions.

I have not considered or even think myself as what you've put, an "alpha-male". If that is your conclusion of things, then I should have the undying support of the 15 in my Tumpang list as well as others isnt it? Look back into my post history and you'll see that even I have disagreements with those in my Tumpang list, and those who previously had agreed on me on previous occasion.

It is the easiest thing to solve all this NOOB chiding nonsense, PEOPLE NEED TO START TAKING RESPONSIBILITIES OF THEIR IPHONES! As long as we have people not doing this, the issue will never end.

The objective of this thread is easy :-

"Why delete my post"? "Why continue deleting my attempts at posting for close to 30 minutes?"

The side-issue here is the NOOB treatment in the iPhone section and how to resolve this satisfactorily. And me being court-martialed for my conduct, apparently because I am elected "alpha-male" without my knowing. If I knew better, I would have acted like Tyler Durden in "Fight Club" or "The Joker" in "The Dark Knight" and entice havoc upon LYN.

It is easy to say that Stringfellow's wrong, but I did my part in stemming the onslaught of irresponsible newbies and asking them to take a more proactive efforts in knowing their device more. What have you done, Lailaikatong?

To those wondering what is the big deal with these questions we had to face and answer:-

These are the type of questions we have to face, day in day out, in iPhone section of this forum.

Tell me when your patience run out when you're face with these and other similarly berating questions every ...single....day, in iPhone forum.

If ignored, they will later come in packs and post even more questions, and when not answered by the right person, these NOOBS may be supplied with answers that may jeopardize the livelihood of their iPhones.

look man just keep it as how it is, i mean why keep on writting when the admin's are not even around ? plus this thread is getting longer and i dont even feel like reading as i only read your 1st post and this post, as for others i just scroll and go to the next page without even reading any of the post. i mean its too long. who would want to read ? this isnt a book your writting. i mean dont even think of beating J.K Rowling. lol

actually Photography thread got a lot of this kind of issue. But it was not reported like this.
But now it is quiet down now. Actually in photography thread, a lot moderator and staff misuse and
abuse their power (but they dunno about it ---> because they think they are right). But after
some fighting and scolding, now its getting better. Misuse of power is less.

The problem is:

Moderator and staff is doing something over the limit. Moderate every single post if he hates you.
Now, that is abuse of power. But the staff and Mod does not know it. They thought they are doing
a great job since they think you're shit.

So my advice to staff/mod. Dun over moderate a forum. You're abusing your power!!!!!!!!!!

A "noob" is a begging, lying, spamming, cheating and extremely annoying person.

A "newbie" is a person that is new to the site who is very innocent compared to a noob.

1) It's called a joke.
2) If you have an issue bring it up with the mod in question, here or directly with an admin. Posting a thread in the wrong forum will get it closed, whether or not it was a "cover up(rofl, cover up, what is this, csi?)" is irrelevant. Spamming new threads in the wrong forum because your last one got closed is the wrong way to do it, and quite frankly it pisses us off. Try to be a lil smarter about things next time.

Moderator should not even see who actually posting the comment!!! They should just see the comments and nothing else. If it's wrong, then close it or delete it. Nothing personal. Just facts!!!
