True, but the fact that these newbies take no responsibillity into ownership of the iPhone, causes multiple threads of the same nature and questions, being posted. There is a reason why there is a pinned FAQ and a "READ Me FIRST" at the front page. I do not discourage discussion or queries, but asking questions as stark-obvious as "Can Unlock iPhone 3G?" when you can easily look it up in the FAQ, had the bloods of the regulars there boiling. Some do not want to do much other than sniping quick remarks here and there, but me being me, I voice out my opinion. My sentiments were then shared with others, only after this was made public/obvious.

We do not discourage questions, we encourage self reliance and independancy. I can ask questions 10 times to you about what time is it now, but I'm sure after the 6th or 7th time, you're gonna ask me to get myself a watch.

stringfellow, i don't think you need reminding that moderators have earned a right to be treated with respect in here.

you're within your rights to bring up this matter for review, but there is no necessity to make such a big issue out of it - to the extend of berating the entire moderating team. If the purpose of this thread is to bring the misunderstanding into focus, then just present your case and wait for a response.
