erm, since u're new, please take our advice : dont put male and female together unless u're prepared to take care of their offspring. syrians should be housed seperately. your wheel looks a bit small for a syrian also.

this is my hamster s.she was sick for several days and yesterday she seems getting better when i was about going to sleep last night suddenly i felt like wanna take a look at her but i hear she 'squeking' and i took her out of cage and i can see something is wrong with her.i give her water while i'm holding her and suddenly she died in my hand.i got her almost 1 year now she's gone forever.i miss her very much   

It's actually very simple. They sleep together because it is cold and huddling together is warmer. And they fight because they're syrians and they don't like each other. Syrians are solitary by nature. Just because they sleep together doesn't mean they need or want to be with each other. If there were other places your syrians could go, they would not be together but you force them to be together when you house them together.

To avoid injury and possibly death, please separate your syrians soon.

Just curious but who told you syrians can live together?

Only put together IF you want the syrians to have babies. But you have to do lots of preparations for the babies.

You have to separate when the female is pregnant and she will be very defensive against the male. Blah Blah Blah... Lots of work and effort is required.

Are you READY for breeding syrians? Please consider and research first properly before considering breeding hamsters.
