Speaking about taming hamsters...

Here's my way of taming syrian:

I use a piece of tofu/vegie/mealie to lure my boy slowly to my palms. In the mid, I will let him smell and bite a bit, and finally lead him to my palm, then there he will enjoy the food and stuck everything into his cheek. The point is, I didn't release the food on my palm and I can raise my hand up to my face. He didn't look scare at all. But I don't understand how come if I let him to grab the food from my hand, he'll start trying to go back to his nest (the toilet). He'll do that whenever he saw I'm coming with food. shakehead.gif

P/S: Newbie learning to tame.

Woooh, 55 pages already? Long time never come here already... I have a question in my mind.

Do hamsters sneeze? Or it's an action of squeaking? It does emit some sounds like squeak.

You're lucky to have it sit calmly on your hand. Both my males run faster than my hands that I could hardly get them in my palms once a while. Try feed them mealies, my robos will grab it from my hand no matter how hard I hold the mealies. laugh.gif
