QUOTE(Jamien @ Sep 16 2008, 12:36 AM) ^ But if they think your finger = threat, ten you ma hhave to let them mangle your finger lo. I say slowly gain trust better. all of us still need our fingers...hehehehAdded on September 16, 2008, 1:01 am QUOTE(Jamien @ Sep 16 2008, 12:33 AM) ^ Syrians can also become bitey, cuz only tame hamsters don't bite. Ferro was bitry as well when he came. He striked first and looked later. Now he is tame, he doesn't bite anymore. Ferro was bought from a petshop. Now he's a darling. how long it takes to make them tame enough to hold? juz like yours.. Added on September 16, 2008, 1:04 am QUOTE(athirah88 @ Sep 16 2008, 12:30 AM) Like they already said, if you bought from pet shops you must be ready to put up with the biting, timidness, etc. Coz they are not used to human touch. i juz pull off all their teeth la..hehehehe Although I read that RCs are more prone to biting.. Syrians are just bigger thats why they are easier to hold. Though syrian bites are said to be worse than dwarf hamsters as their teeth are bigger. What happens if you get a syrian that is just as bitey as your current RC? This post has been edited by Tortoy: Sep 16 2008, 01:04 AM |

QUOTE(kcng @ Sep 16 2008, 08:54 PM) let them roam around your bed... thanks for the tip..but my room has a lot of hiding place bcoz i stay in hostel. so i juz keep them in their place. but today i realize a bit changes in their behavior, they seem to ignore my hand and i can touchd them without any bitey2 thing... it helps if they are used to your smell... thats what i always do... let the robos roam around my bed while i eat my dinner |
