Now I am in Teluk Intan, Perak, and went to some petshop here just to scout around if there is suitable things for me to buy. And I found the "sing song" brand food our friend said earlier.. I really can't find any "better" hamster food here. A lot are even loose pack.. I ask them, what is this? Oh this is hamster food. Rabbit also can.. then I was like >.>

And I found a loose pack of sand, the lady said, its toilet sand for hamster. Its a small pack for RM1.60. I thought I can try it, since I haven't buy the toilet sand. And the lady actually said its cat litter (suddenly, but looks like she want to take back her words.) Luckily I read some information here, reach home, I pour the sand out, I add in few drops of water... after awhile i found out that the sand is clumping -.- So I throw the whole pack away. All the hamster in 2 petshops I have been today is soooo pathetic, don't want to say anymore.

1 question here to PRO.

Is it compulsory to put back previous bedding (old bedding) that already use after wash the tank??

I read @ hamsterhideout forum that put back the old bedding can prevent pair of dwarf hamster to started a fight for territory because there is still got scent of them in the tank.

I was told she was a pudding, and she has orangy stripe that faded into gray hmm.gif Thanks for the offer, but I travel frequent to KL. I will be going down on the 6th. Will try to visit petshack, if not I'll just order online. Just notice that thay restock Prestige, later go "shopping" at their website laugh.gif

Hi guys, one of my hamsters' fur seems to be thinning behind its ears and neck. I've checked it -- its skin is perfect, no scabs, no mites or anything, and after sandbathing the fur looks a lot better but the next day it clumps up and looks bald again.

I suspect it is due to a mix of oily fur + it likes sleeping upside down on the wheel, and I think it likes to pee in the wheel as well. My hamster hates sandbathing, I have force it upon her, but there's still a bald patch.

Otherwise, my hamster is as active as ever and as greedy as ever, no change in attitude, activity or appetite.

Anyone encountered this problem before?

that's a Pearl WW.. Pudding color wont fade till completely white.. it'll only fade till cream color..
