/me agree...we dont fight here... we give information here.... i jsut bough my gf a WW(pearl)....and also cage....anyway there is metal bar below the cage..so i just take it away...dun wan it to hurt the WW....

Just make sure that your hammies is not a metal chewer or else they will chew the bar cage and it is poisonous to them cos the bars will rust.

They are rodents, not dog, they do not know how to obey command and understand punishment. So no point doing that to make them scared.

/me nods...im thinking the same thing..... im thinking how to tame my hammie...when i put the female on my hand,it will smell on my hand and bite it.....did it thinks that i m food???

Wash ur hand b4 handling Scoop up with both and and put on ur palm Dun point finger at it, it will bite for sure Put ur other palm below it and let it climb down Repeat it, tats how i tame my hamster, for 10years+

Why don't you use actual shavings for bedding? Hamsters use shavings quite economically wat.

also, newspaper ink is poisonous if consumed..
btw, i'd suggest u to use Breeder Celect or Back 2 Nature (recycled paper bedding).. cos if use wood shavings, the cage surroundings will be very messy.. that's y i always use tank..
