my kdk K14X8 is having a humming sound
it started with the 3rd speed (max speed), then now even normal speed (2nd speed) also remains.
Anyone had same experience with me? what is probably wrong?
still thinking whether to get a new fan or repair it.

been looking at temperature sensor fan, is it reliable and does it feel good?
asked shop but Panasonic out of stock in the market.

UPDATE:
I remove the bottom cover and the rod cover
clean my fan
tighten up the nut
put back all the covers.
wah la, no more sound
really don't know what I had done to fix it, hope won't reoccur again.

I think Panasonic remote fan quality has been improved compared to last time.

Let me count the number of fans I had to maintained... for both mine and parents house.

2x new yuragi 5 blades (2015)
1x old yuragi 4 blades (2008)
3x old bayu 4 (2015)
3x old bayu 5 (2015)
2x new bayu 5 (2017)

So far, I find that the older version really problematic. Change capacitor almost once a year. The most problematic was the old Bayu5 and Yuragi 4 blades. 6months after capacitor change would still give a lot of sound and speed issue. I already took both of them out because too lazy to maintain. Before that, I even took the time to change the bearing which works like charm for few months before it also start to hum.

The most surprising is the 2x new bayu5. The new one has this rounded cover versus the old one with a sharper edge. I already used it for 2years+ and no issue at all. The old version would have start giving issue around 1.5years or so. It was so good that I even had 2 spares because it was cheap previously (bought for <RM200). I also had a Sharp 5 blades (bought out of curiosity and also mistaken for KDK for whatever reason) with reverse function which I had not had time to install to try.

They charge u for it??

Mine did it for FOC. Panasonic and KDK.

But the KDK technician simply do it, they just screw tight the upper cover/canopy to the plaster ceiling to stop the fan from wobbling.

So now I just manually balance the KDK fans by jz using coins and cloth tape

previously after i installed KDK new fan, i called service center to send technician to do balancing for all of my new fan. they provide this service free.

actually you can easily buy the part from PJ panasonic service center.
I did for my water heater. just need to email them first for the part number. Then personally go to the center to buy it.
