@blanket84, can I ask if you have a longer term review of the Aeratron? I am looking to get the AE3+, not sure if its worth the premium over brands like KDK.
I can't really compare with KDK or Panasonic since none of my family bought those brand recently. The "latest" KDK I have seen to compare is in my parents house in my hometown which is almost 15 years old.
But then, I my current house, I installed two brands, Alpha (Alkova Dezi) and Aeratron (AE3+ & FR). So, I can compare those two.
After 6 months of usage, I would say, so far I am satisfied with the purchase, especially since I decided to spend extra solely because of aesthetic. In terms of blade built quality, I would say the quality of Aeratron is hit & miss. The blade for my FR was good, but then, for AE3+, the quality of the seem of the blade (where they combine the top and bottom part of the blade) was poor. It is not visible if you see from far, but it is visible when you climb and see up close. I reported the "defect" to NSB and they came with one to one replacement, but still, there isn't much improvement with the replacement blade. I don't have such problem with FR though, or even my cheaper Alpha Alkova.
In terms of performance, the air movement is pretty good, but the significant edge over normal fan is it's quietness. You could barely here the sound of the moving air compare to normal fan, even at top speed. Unlike my Alpha where I could hear the "whoosh, whoosh" sound of the moving blade/air. Other than it's quietness (and of course the looks), there isn't nothing much to shout about.
In terms of service, I would say, it is above average. All my reported problems were immediately attended by their SC & technician (the "defect" and some installation mistake by my contractor). The downside is, I don't think they keep any spare parts, so, all replacement parts are taken from their new in box unit and if the unit is not in stock, you'd have to wait for the new stock to arrive.
And if you plan to buy Aeratron, I would suggest you call their technician to install. They would charge you RM55 per installation, slightly expensive, but better be safe since you're installing a 1k++ fan. Don't repeat my mistake as I let my contractor install the fan, and they screw up the installation. Lucky for me, NSB rectify the mistake FOC (I reported that my fan was making abnormal sound, turned out my contractor missed one part).
If I have money, I would install all Aeratron in my bedrooms as well. But then, I don't, so I installed Alpha instead.
